for all those who wait, my dealer told me that he had to call the moco weekly to keep the paint order active. don't know why, but, that is what the man said. so if you  know your dealer you might mention this and see what he has got to say about it. It did take a little over 3 months to get my parts in but that seems like a lot less time then some of you are talking about.he also said a shop in Dallas, one in Cal, and also one in La. called him trying to get the parts that were in for my bike.said he told them no way!!!!!

Sorry you all are still having the same paint issues...all my paint came in and I had the dealer install it all and put it out on the floor for sale....never saw the re-completed bike......sold in four days......

The MoCo has a black eye over this....one should not have to fight to get a scoott right....espercially after spending $33 +++++ Dollars.....

Keeping my fingers crossed my 2007 SE Ultra will be RIGHT!!!!!!  Good Luck.  Keep pushing them to get it RIGHT!!  I have seen many SE Ultras on rides & the owners do not even have a clue that there are paint issues out there...saw one that was soooooo bad, I gave the guy this web site address hoping he would trip onto the paint issues section....

Picked up the "Shades" Sat. so we could go to the So. Cal. Bikefest. For the 5 days at the shop the only things that got done were the garage door module, outer faring, front fender. Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick......The paint looks awsome! Took it back today for the tank, bags, and covers. You could see my delema when we picked it up Sat. and noted a scratch on the right saddlebag!!! No biggie.......You have a new set in the back that your putting on Monday. Service Manager was livid, if that was the new bag it would cost us $$$. Wrongway

well bro's, I am as happy ass a pig in chit!!!!! dealer called today and my tins are in!!! went stright to the shop and went over every piece with a fine tooth comb. that is every piece the only painted parts that were not replaced are the bag lids!!!! everything down to the filler strips. I was like a kid in a candy store opening boxes! every part has the custom paint job we all expected when we bought these bikes. even the lowers are a different color , a much deeper gray color!! they  should have everything installed by next weekend, I will post pics when I get it back. but, froom what I saw today, it will be the mc I expected when I decided to  go with  this bike. thank  you  hd!!!!!!! hope every one who is still waiting geets as lucky as me!!! Twincam,
Did they tell you they were replacing all those parts or was it a surprise? I thought only the parts with stripes were defective/getting replaced.
Real good news for you though. I'd like to see some close-up pics of your paint after all is installed.

SEULTRA,
at first I thought only stripped parts were being replaced, but, after the wait and going in asking what parts we were still missing I found out all parts except bag lids were ordered. Hell I wasen't about to argue with that!!! then when they called and said they were all in and would I come and chek them , it was like christmas morning!!! boxes and boxes of parts. going to give them a call right now and see if I can pick it tomarrow. will post pics asap

Picked up the "Shades" about an hour ago.  [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]Wrongway and Lil-Bit are happy customers. The new paint is everything we ever expected and more. Only one little glitch..........The tank emblems are way off. The right side is about 3/4 inch futher back than the left and about 3/4 inch higher on the tailing end. We brought out the original tank to compair, and the left is even off. So now on order is two new emblems and new Heated Grip set. The grips come on in the accy. position even with the switches off. Then on our ride home last week from the So. Cal. Bikefest they came on full when the switch was off, good thing I had my big gloves, without them I probably couldn't have held on.  :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)Smiles everyone.  Wrongway

just got off the phone with the dealer, oil temp gauge has not come in yet, so he said bike would be ready Tues or Wed told them I needed it for the biker Rodeo in Benson,Az  this weekend so he said they would go ahead and butten it up so I could make the rally. after a long conversation with the ole lady and some serious ass kissing I decided to take it back in in 2 weeks for the install on the temp gauge and while it is there we might as well have the SE 6 speed put in ;D yes bro's my knees will be bleeding on this one!!!! but, it is worth every drop!!! Twincam, I can feel the joy in your words and how hyped you are to be right with the world with your new paint & new stuff for your scoot.... I'm happy for you!!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] 8-)

Just learned from the service manager at my local dealership that HD will be sending a complete paint set for my bike. I'm cautiously optimistic about the news. I don't want to get too cranked and then be disappointed if all doesn't go well (you know the feeling). I'm hoping that by complete paint set he means ALL paint but maybe it's just the parts with stripes. Time will tell. Rusty Dwyer is supposed to call me next week to give me the official HD notification of what they will do. Keep yer fingers & toes crossed for me! SEULTRA,
Hyped  ain't the word for it bro! chit man all this started by this web site, I saw the  difference in the colors when they delivered my bike but, to tell you the truth it didn't bother me that bad.I have been a HD man for years, hell ,used to tie chit on with bungie cords and balling wire, cut my teeth on a hd z90. since have owned pans, shovels, twincams, and now SEUC. was just happy to be able to, be able if you know what I mean. then after hearing everyone bitch about the paint I thought,  why not? I payed for it. Just fell into place . Now I get a new paint job for a 1 year old scoot, yea I am as happy as a pig in chit. thank you HD for taking care of your faithful customers !! I do think you  will be takin care of. one point to make is ,you paid for a custom paint job. even if that paint job does not last 6 months (son fade, rock chips ect) . you  paid to have that paint job even if it is for only 1 hour. so, if you  have a some faded paint from them takin so long to get you  the paint job you deserve, then they should make it all right!!!!! good luck bro twincam [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=2vrolijk_09.gif]

I'm Jonesin' for pics of the matching paint twincam! I'll be in touch with HD and my dealership this week about my new parts. Took my scoot out for a ride today and just enjoyed the day. Can't wait for it all to match. I'll feel a lot better about the scoot then!
