Ive been reading the warranty and I dont understand how any replacement parts if they are ever replaced, and the replacements are also flawed, would I get to pick betwen the 2 flawed parts??...is there a limit on how many times they are required to replace something that is flawed??. What am I missing here??

My fingers are getting worn out keeping them crossed, but they are again and hoefully this time to some good result for you.

As I PM'd you I went and looked at one of the replacement hard bags that are in and I now have all of my replacement parts on hand.  My guys actually ordered the complete hard bag so I got new lids as well.

They look great off the bike, now to see how they look on it.

I will get the bike in next week for the install and get some pics at that time.  At this point they are changing out everything that has a stripe.

More in the next week or so [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Be sure to take your Binford 5000 mega ultra super laser flashlight with you to inspect the parts BEFORE they are put on. I'd sure hate to see you wind up in Cigarmikes situation where the stuff is F'd up and you don't see it till you get home and you're then accused of F'ing up the parts yourself. Good luck!!  :)

Don't have the Binford but I do have a 1,000,000 candle power one that I use for spottin' dickweeds out on the lake at night that have their f'n radios blastin' on the f'n wakeboard boats.

That should do the trick.

Yeah, and by all means, DO NOT bring any of the dreaded [smiley=nervous.gif] microfiber cloths with you to do the dusting off of the parts. [smiley=shocked2.gif]  After all, thanks to Vern we all know about the horrendous damage those things can do (just look a few posts up at cigarmike's microfiber damaged bag! ;D :D ;)).  In fact, you may want to have your clothes, your hair and the vehicle you take to the dealership hermetically cleansed of any remnants of microfiber fibers (even if you don't use microfiber, but have walked down the car care aisle at Walmart - may have got some on you there [smiley=nixweiss.gif]) in case the all-knowing Vern shows up and pulls out his Binford 5001 Microscopic Microfiber Geiger Counter in hopes of denying your claim. ::)

The funny thing is when they came out of the box today the service mgr, said oh man, let me get some polish and a rag and dust 'em off.

Squirt, squirt with the spray of some canned stuff.  Rag, rub rub rub, there you go, looks like a million bucks.

We'll see when we hit it with a Binford or like type light next week.

EEeeekkkkk! Hey Cigarmike,... now we know where your scratch marks came from... the parts were prepped before you got there using the secret service manager magic squirt, squirt, rub, rub technique!!  :o :o :o

Nope!  Too far to justify a trip in the cage for one part.  I need the scoot with me and a bright, sunny day to get a good look at it.  I'll wait until the rest of the paint comes in, load up the scoot in the trailer, head to Trussville and look at all the pieces at one time.  I suppose I could take off my one good saddlebag, head down there and do a comparison of the tank against the saddlebag, but it hardly seems worth the 200+ mile round trip, the time, and the cost of diesel just to look at one part.  I think I'll be patient and wait.  I've waited this long.

Restraint, patience .... admirable qualities seldom found in OCD inclined CVO owners!  ;D ;D ;D ;)
Hope all turns out great for you!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
