As promised... pictures of the brand new out of the box right saddlebag. The paint bleeds are on the side of the bag facing the tire.

Update to my update of my update!! [smiley=dizzy.gif]

In the last episode on Dec 9th 2006 I told you all that the third set of tins arrived and the fairing was great.  You could feel the grahics through the clear coat but the color was "Spot On" and matched the inner fairing.  The other parts, Gas Tank, Saddle Bag Lowers and Front Fender were still wrapped up in the shipping containers so I left it the bike assuming the others were the same great color.  The dealer called that week telling me the rest of the new stuff "Sucked" and he would not put them on the bike.  He called the factory and asked for new parts.  As of Monday 1/8/07 the dealer still had not heard back from the factory.  The service manager and I agreed that it was time for another round of calls to Juneau Ave.  Well it must have worked because I got a call from the factory rep while he was at the dealer and he agreed that the "New" (third set) were not good.  He told me he would order a new tank, fender and lower saddle bags as soon as he hung up the phone.  Less than an hour later I got a call from the factory confirming that the paint was ordered and it would take 4-6 weeks because they would be painting a brand new set.  Keep your fingers crossed that they get the right guy to paint these new parts!  I must say the factory rep was all about getting this right "No matter what" and apologized for the delay.  Good to hear but wish he had been around earlier.  He is new to this area and replaced the previous rep.  Glad to have him.  Also I can't say enough about the folks at Harley Davidson of Macon GA.  Absolutley top shelf and stand behind their customers.  Worth the 120 miles I ride to get there.

Well here we go again.  Another set of tins showed up at Macon and again they refused to use them.  I just dont get it.  The Motor Company told me directly that they were "Painting a Fresh Set" which just did not happen.  I have placed another call to Rusty Dwyer who is the HD customer service manager to ask for an explanition.  I am just about done with this.  Anybody want to buy a "Melon"

This thought has also crossed my mind recently. This shoddy treatment of people with paint problems by the MOCO has had the effect of reducing my "passion and lust" to a "dull interest". Makes me feel empty... and it's all so unnecessary.

dealer called a couple of weeks ago and said my saddle bag lid was in (old one has a spot where the paint is flacking) went and saw it last week. MILKY!!!!! the service manager was not in. I told the parts guys I would not except it. service manager called today and said he sent the lid back, and there was no way he would put this lid on my bike, after getting all painted parts replaced (except lids). He told the co they can send as many as they like but we aint takin one till it is right!!!!! ;)

Has anybody seen this on an 07 SEUC. They messed up on the end of the striping. I informed the dealer. They are currently holding on to a lid for me that was scratched on delivery. They said they would look at it when I bring it in for fisrt service. The area where the paint is missing has clear coat over it.

OK folks, it is done.  My paint is good to go.  I picked up the scoot on Saturday morning.  Renea, Stef, and I drove down to Rider's HD in Trussville, AL with the trailer in tow.  Terry (TCnBham) and Suzanne (HarleyDiva) met us there, and being they are hardcore riders, they traveled on the SEUC.  There was a little bit of a scare when I asked for my bike.  They brought it out and pointed to an area on the outer fairing about which they were concerned.  There WAS and area which looked like a scuff on the fairing, however the paint matches, and it is beautiful.  I thought about it, consulted with Terry, and after mulling it over, we agreed that the scuff could be taken out with Glare Spider and/or Micro.  It was not a big deal at all, and the scuff did come out.  The service manager told me that he would gladly order a new one, but if he did, he would have to put my old fairing back on, and send the new one back.  I thought it best to stick with what I had due to the fear of getting a fairing which didn't match.  Anyway, I loaded the bike, we all did a little shopping at the dealership, and then we went just down the street for some lunch at Applebee's.  Shortly after that, Terry & Suzanne saddled up, we loaded up in the truck, and we headed home.  Once home, I offloaded the bike and got to work........and since  :worthless:  here are a few pics of the scoot with new paint........all freshly Glared......as well as a few other pictures.

Well..........OK............maybe not.  I can't figure out how to post pictures with this new software, or perhaps that feature has not yet been enabled..............so until I figure out how to post pictures, or the feature is enabled, I guess you'll just have to take my word that I'm happy with my new Melon!!!!!

Henry...glad to hear things worked out as we thought they would!!!  I also hope you are happy with the way the Glare products worked on the bike, and that the product removed the spot.  Hard to describe what that was...it was really like a smudge you would get from putting wax on a bike and not buffing it out well enough...had to get JUST right on the angle to even see it.  One thing about the Glare stuff...no smudges!!  Glad Riders was able to take care of you, and that your ordeal is over!!

It was great seeing you guys again and look forward to doing some riding when the weather warms up a bit!!
