Bubba, that's interesting information for sure. But, I have to ask you one question: why were YOU having to take the parts to a shop, instead of the Dealer? If I fork over 32K for a product, it needs to be right, but if it's not, it's their problem to deal with, not mine. While I certainly don't blame you for trying to resolve the problem, I'm just curious as to why your dealer isn't doing the leg work.
As this issue develops, it appears there's more than enough evidence to prove the MOCO's at fault, and I'm sure in the end they will be "forced" to make it right, it's just a shame they force us to almost drastic measures to solve a problem that they (MOCO) should bend over backwards to satisfy some of their most elite customers. HD's not alone though. I fought GM about a paint issue a few years back and my sister went thru hell and back with Ford. In the end both issues were resolved, but it was time consuming and never should have been that difficult to solve in the first place. Today, I still buy GM, and will probably still buy HD, but my Sis won't even sit in a Ford, much less own one.
