I've taken the three threads that have the majority of the paint disucssion in them and made them stickies so they're easier to find if, in fact, the MoCo is looking for them.  Also, there were two of those that did not have the word "paint" in the title, so I added that as well.

Glad you moved them up I was looking for a minute wondering where the topics went. Now I can find them fast.
Thanks......

Only from what has been posted more than one time in the threads on this site.  One example:

MOCO is following this site daily and did get the letter to the CEO from 06 blk crimson from his post.

Thanks 103,

I hope that the motor company is looking at these threads and see a poll
where over 25% have issues with the paint getting dull. And I hope they also see that we are the ones spending the big bucks and promoting there
product to the whole world.  I just hope they will step up and make us all
proud. I would like to think that when they talk about the Harley family
that they really mean it! Thanks 103...and if Harley is looking...were here to stay!

New update, today went in and spoke again with theGM, he wanted to see it in the day light, and my god, we have a lot of that the last few days  :D, anyway, he looked , and looked, and then stepped back and said, "well, the bags are diffently a different color than the lids", he didnt think the fairing inner's and outers were as bad , but, they are different too, he also said, "Thats all I need to know", Ill get back to you and TY for bringing it in. He also shared that he almost bought the bike before I did.

So we'll see what happens now, I know that Drons is one of the bigger dealerships in our neck of the woods. They move a lot of merchandise, They are moving to a much bigger building soon. IF They can afford all that, they can afford to stand behind their customers.

While looking at it with the dealership GM, You can plainly see the swirl marks where 'somebody' tried their damnedest to fix this...I have swirl marks all over my paint,.....except the inner fairing, and the lids.....gee, i wonder if The dealer knew about this and tried to fix it pre-sale??? < i also have plainly visable scratches on the bags where its obviously been color sanded.....F****s'

I swear to you, that its gotten worse since I first noticed it. As  much as Love this bike, I didnt want to get married unless she was a virgin.

You bought a NEW bike with NEW paint and paid for a premium paint job as well. I would not accept a "buffing" out. I looked closely at the BS bike at my dealer again today. The clear does not seem to be too thick at all. Furthermore if its a good quality clear coat (which PPG is) it should not get milky even if its thick. I think the problem is in the black color. The parts that look good are all black, lids and inner fairing. The other parts that are "milky" all have multiple colors on them. Keep pushing for NEW parts!

Holy catcrap!! Batman!!, I was going thru this thread again, and just realized...This is My bike that I bought on Dec. 27th !!!

Went to my dealer today to show them the paint...
I am so lucky to have the dealer I have. They already new of the problem
as another SEUC had already reported the problem with their crimson. They looked at it and said they would try and make it right. They put in two calls to the MOCO and the local rep to come look at it. They also told me to call the MOCO in the AM.  They said that they were told to get it buffed out...
but the dealer new that wouldnt fix it as they had already tried it on the last one. If the MOCO was as honest and outright as my dealer...we would be praising them now instead wondering how they could just ignore the problem. I think Harley is very aware of the problem, they are just stalling
to asses how big the problem is. Being a stock holder company they need to see a big picture first before making a decision. The bean counters will be the ones making the desicsion not someone who cares about you and me and our Harleys.

Just curious, are the bikes that are now in warm weather getting worse??, Mine seems to be a lot worse especially on the bags, since I brought it home and have had it outside during a warm spell we just had. Also wondering if the scooters that are in the cold garages of snow country now, are going to get worse as the weather warms???, Food for Thought?

trmn, welcome aboard. This is a great site. You should be good to go with yoyur paint. This problem seems to be specific with the CVO Ultra. At least we hope it is. Good luck.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
