My crimson and black is in as of 2-24-06. Going to try to see it today, but there is a nasty storm coming which may disuade me from the 2 hour round trip. I am very concerned with the potential for paint issues that will not be apparent at delivery and have all but talked myself out of buying this bike at this time. Stay tuned...

Im not sure whats going on here, as of yesterday, speaking with the paint warranty guy from MoCo, they have made no changes to specs or how the parts are painted, Magoo, are you saying that theres nothing wrong with your paint??

The only pieces I think don't match are the saddlebags and the lids.  Looked pretty good yesterday in the sun today is supposed to be even better.  Am riding out to the shop with a buddy to look again now that the excitement of its arrival is over.  Get a better look around it and take some more pics.

Mr Magoo, with it in the sun, look at the crimson flake on the tank, and then the inner fairing. Also, look for a brown color on all your parts as opposed to Black. Im brown just about everywhere, but the lids and inner fairing. Hopefully yours is not as bad of some of ours, but like I said, thats not very likely according to the MoCo warranty guy. He stated that some of the reps have had new parts sent to dealerships to be replaced on some of the bikes mentioned in this thread, but he believes that is a waste of time, they will be the same colors. I asked him, if they are sending out new parts to some of us, I want new parts sent for me, .....But only if I get to keep old parts for my trouble, (I'll have my painter make it like its supposed to be on new parts) Or I would also accept a change out to all new Haze colored parts switched out under warranty at dealership. He said He would check into this as a possible fix, I know that wont work for everyone here, but I'll never be happy with the Black/Brown combo as it sits now.

Congrads on the 100th post.  Like I said will look closer at it today and get a better idea of what I think.  If I have to use a big flashlight to see the difference that does interest me. It's what my eyes see in the sun light that concerns me.

I must of been lucky with the way my paint turned-out. I can't find a flaw anywhere in the paint!

This is the best outside picture so far, but I can't find any problem with a bright light even up close.
