I am 6'6"/270, the new improved hammock seat just doesn't do it for me, I have over 9000 miles on it and it kills my butt after about 150 miles. I have been looking at after market seats, and then contacted a local seat builder that is building me a new seat new. Has any one every seen the inside of this new seat? I have attached photo's of it apart. Now for a tall rider like me, I would sit back in the seat, and where I was sitting, was not on the hammock, but on just a small amount of foam and the plastic of the seat pan.
The seat covering, especially the gray middle always felt hard to me, and when we pulled the cover off and looked at the underside it is still hard. I got to tell you, for a nearly $40,000 bike, I expected more of a seat, I think the new "hammock" idea was a way to shave cost and then use PR to sell to us.

Is that the stock seat on the '09 SEUC?
Or did you buy this additional seat...

What is you seat builder doing to make it more comfortable?
Please post some pics when it's complete.

I was just looking at purchasing the above mentioned accessory seat, but now am having second thoughts.

It is the stock/original seat. I will post some pictures of the rebuild. Here is another of the "Hammock"
