We have 15 bikes going on our trip to Sturgis this year. Headed up the California, Oregon and Washington Coast first. Then into British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan then drop down into South Dakota.  15 days and 5000 miles.  I can't wait!   :bananarock:

wow, 15 bikes.  I thought we had a lot with 8.  Sounds like a great trip.  I think we will do a little over 3500 for our trip.

I would suggest a meeting time/place, but c'mon do you really think we could do it?

I'll put a stake in the ground here. Let's meet for lunch Tuesday in Deadwood. Anyone know a good place for bikes to gather there? If we just name the spot and the time then those that can show up will show up. If someone has a better option, I'm all for it. Spearfish is nice too.

LOL.  Sorry, I couldn't help but laugh out loud at that.  Main street in Deadwood will be filled with bikes from one end to the other.

Pick a casino and a time to meet.  Everyone will have to park wherever they can find a spot.  The Bodega has an outdoor beer garden which is quite popular.

Is there someplace on the edge of town or just outside of town that serves food and drink that might have some capacity for a group of riders? I know the centers of towns are crowded but there has to be some place on the edge of the activity where we could meet.

Let's meet for lunch Tuesday in Deadwood.

There's a PERFECT place to meet in Deadwood.  It's a restaurant with a rooftop dining/patio.  Just 1 discreet door at street level with stairs going up to the restaurant.  Not so crowded that we couldn't comfortably shoot the sh!t.

The location is Deadwood Social Club, and it's on the 2nd floor of Saloon #10.

Here's a shot of their patio:

Works for me. Shall we say the Deadwood Social Club from between 11-1:30 on Tuesday, 8/4 for a CVO gathering in the hills?

I will be there Tuesday around noon. I may have to grab a Buffalo Burger from across the street at the Stockade first though. Theres just something cool about eating buffalo meat in Deadwood South Dakota.

What, no Smoked Tuaca Pheasant?  "Lightly smoked South Dakaota pheasant, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes in a Tuaca cream sauce"

Got a friend staying at the Franklin as well.  I won't be getting to town until Tuesday afternoon, so I'll probably miss the gathering, although I'm sure I'll make it to
Deadwood sometime during our 4 days up there.
