Brighten Dash Lights
« on: July 07, 2009, 03:09:29 PM »

I know that my eyes aren't what they use to be by any means, but I rarely can read my dash displays in the daylight.  I looked at the manual and can't find anyway to adjust the brightness like in any auto.  They made all the gauge numbers and info so small it is a struggle to begin with.  Don't they know who most of us are that buy these??  Anyway my SEUC4 gives me trouble in these regards.
Anyone have a fix or did I miss something??
Thanks,

Thanks Ernie....now if I can find some help for more lighting in the main display (radio/cd info and time), I would be set?  Anything you know of regarding that?  I searched but didn't use the right words I guess.
Always appreciate the help and info amongst these bros.

If you have a HK radio you can brighten the display in the radio.  Select display from the audio/setup menu with the audio switch.  Press the audio up or down to change the brightness in the radio/clock per my wife's 09 manual.  Hoe this helps.

Boatman.....you are a genius!!  I looked everywhere but under the radio.....I was focused on a dimmer of some kind for the entire dash.  Silly me.
Thanks a bunch...would have been a nicer 4 days in Id., Or. and Wash., had I known then!!  Was a great 4th regardless!
Thanks again,
