Rjob...
I like the way it looks on the back of the tourpak ... I currently have mine installed on the underside on the support bar for the tourpak but the visibility is not optimal. I'm thinking about moving it to the location that you have but am torn about mounting it on the leather as I believe it would be an irreversable installation. Decisions, decisions..... [smiley=nervous.gif]

I hear you, but after looking at the options I went with the mount that was shown here on the letaher and it seems fine.  No need to consider removing it IMHO, so I figure to stay with it.

Like you I think the higher mount does show better.

I felt the same way, but I wanted as much light as I could get on the rear and  after looking at it, I decided the best visibility was on the Tourpak. And I don't think I'll ever remove it anyway. I followed a previous suggestion and ran the wires thru the gasket on the antenna mount. It makes the install very clean. I believe it could be removed with some Goof-Off or other solution for removing glue.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I went that route as well, works great, looks clean and really lights up, as seen in my pic post, I also did LED tail lights with the brake/turn conversion.  When you hit the brakes, the vehicle behind you knows it. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Nope, Roger...was just reading on the SEEG thread about making the turn signals into running/brake lights and thought this needed to come back to the top for a while for the 06/07 CUSE folks.  IMO, it is the best solution for our bikes.

T...yea, it's for your lazy ass too   ;) ;D ;D ;D  I'm trying to make it easy on you buddy... [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks TC, glad you're thinking of me buddy!  [smiley=drink.gif]

Ok... I've thought about it and listened to those who are running it this way and looked at their installs... I'm moving mine to the tourpak. The visibility/safety is (gasp) a higher priority than pure aesthetics.  ;)

BTW, when I ordered mine from radiantz it came with BOTH clear and red outer tubes! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I have mine set for Brake only...you can barely notice it...EXCEPT when Braking of course...

I noticed you tucked yours up close to the lid... did you run the wire(s) straight down into the antenna mount or just over the top lip of the bottom half of the tourpak?

over the top...I think someone has one a little longer that fills the entire space between the antenna mounts.

Stirring this great thread up again just to share a great experience with the folks at Custom Dynamics.  I wanted to create the same setup as TCandBham with the 14.7" strip so I call Custom Dynamics.  Kristen took my order and was very helpful and knowledgable.  I did not have TC's name otherwise she would have looked up the order to match the 14.7 request he had.

Anyway, it was one stop shopping!  She had the Kuryakyn Delux Smoked lite (4974) but made me aware it was not as bright as the plug in version from Radiantz.  Also had a couple of options for the back off modules.

It's great buying Christmas presents for my self.  Wish it was as easy for my wife.... I keep hearing "Diamonds"..."Chrome"??? no!!  "Diamonds"    [smiley=love_1.gif] [smiley=xmas.gif]

I love this site!  I'm printing a picture now to place under the tree as I won't be able to get those "diamonds" for her before Christmas!

By the way, those are a fine set of jugs!  I mean cylinders!

This is a really bad picture (it is hard to take a picture of diamonds), but with the new bike and all the goodies I have added, I thought I should cover this base pretty well too...
