As I've never had any luck with crimps, I solder everything after its crimped.  I found a multilock crimper @ radio shack for a couple of bucks on clearance.  Works okay, but I still solder it.

I just installed the Kuriyakan panacia rear tail light with tur indicatores and new panacia turn signals front and rear.  I never got around to it on my 06.  This gives me a lot better feeling about being seen at night or also in the day time.

Great info here. Thankst o all that contributed. Just ordered the stuff from Custom Dynamics, including the new Knight Riderz Sequential LED.....looks nice, check it out.....I think I'll place it instead of the red reflector in the license plate bracket and the 1 foot flex LED on the tour pack.

I just got my 07 R&B CVO Ultra and had to install additional lighting in that blank space on the rear of that wrinkled leather tourpak.  I used LED Cat Eye Lights from J&P cycle catalog Part number 330-469.  I mounted the lights in a V configuration spread apart and following the lines of the stitching on the rear of box.  It almost looks factory if Willy had designed them into the tourpak. Also, the supplied wiring plugs directly into the Harley wiring and allows running, brake, and turn signal operations in the LED. They run $299.00 a pair but worth it in looks. Very pleased with the fine quality of the product.

I'm assuming with this install that you had to cut the tourpak to get them mounted?  How much room did they take in the tourpak?

From Custom Dynamics, I ordered the lite strip and the WIG WAG Back Off kit that will make the saddlebag Brake lights alternate several times before going solid.
I was also ordering the Kuryakyn LED tail lite and Kristen said the Radiantz brake light replacement was much brighter.  It is a "plug an play" module so you can use the same lens cover. [smiley=oops.gif]
I need to contact them in the morning to see if the HD 06 CVO tail light assembly can be separated.  The instructions suggests that you can remove the chrome insert from the inside of the red lens, using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the glue that holds the two pieces together.  I have not tried the hair dryer yet but the material almost looks like an epoxy material.  Does not look like an easy process.  Anyone have any experiance with this?  May have to order the Kuryakyn LED tail lite assembly instead.
Update:  What a pain in the Arse!  Spoke to Custom Dynamics and they said it takes time, but with a hair dryer or heat gun (and a lot of patience) I need to dig out the epoxy like material to seperate the lens. (I could send it to them and they will do it for $50!)  Spent 2 hours tonight but finally got it all out without breaking anything.

Kristen called me back this afternoon after I left her a message last night saying that I would never remember to call her today. Well, she called and got everything going. I told her what bike I had and she took care of everything! 14.7 clear tube w/ dual fillament. I told her about the site so maybe we'll hear from her  :). AJ

Well, I'm getting closer, my 14.7" LED from Custom Dynamics arrived today, thanks for the measurements Terry.  I've copied and pasted all the information in this thread to make me an installation manual and I'll tackle the install project Sunday.  Hopefully I'll survive the stress!!  [smiley=nervous.gif]  I'm meeting one of the site members and some of his friends for a ride tomorrow over to Athens then down to Madison have some lunch and then back North.  If anyone in the Atlanta area would like to join us you're more than welcome.  I'll keep you all posted on how the install goes.

We will have to compare notes!  I am tackling the install of the light strip today.  last night I finished up attaching the Radiantz Retro Tail Light module with the recommended "Plumber's Goop" (great stuff).  Next I will re-assemble and re-seal the Lens and Reflector using the "Goop".  Pic's reflect before and after of the Lens.  See my comment above about removing the epoxy >:(
Should have the light strip in today.

Unit before removal of the black epoxy material.  Looks impossible but do-able.
I would not recommend adding alcohol ( [smiley=drink.gif] ) to the mix as the unit may end up in pieces on the floor or one or two houses down after you step outside and give it the big "pitch" into the air with a few words of wisdom to help it along!  Sorry the quality of Pic not great but the insert is supposed to reflect the thin line of the black epoxy material that must be removed.

Bob...I'm sure everything will go well!!  Just be sure you clean the leather well with some alcohol before sticking it down!  And make sure it's straight, 'cause once it's stuck, it's stuck!!  Once you see the wiring, you'll see that it's really simple, and you'll be a lot more visible to the vehicles behind you!!!  Wish we could join in the ride...hope you have a good one!!
