Rjob...my thinking exactly, after looking at both options, the rack mount could not be seen by someone in an SUV following too close, in my opinion.

Just mounted red Radianz light array on tour pack bar (below).Followed all directions in thread above and all went well.( First experience with heat shrink so not quite as pretty as factory!).  One suggestion I would to all the above ( since I am a novice in wiring department) is the when threat red and black wires from LED array make sure to leave black one longer than red (figured that out after cut both!!!), as red will connect split wire for brake and running lights.  Thanks to all for the above, would have never even tried without all the information.

Glad you got it installed Octo  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  I forgot to mention leaving the black wire long so it can reach to the terminal pin connection...sorry about that omission.  I was looking at mine today out in the bright sunshine while letting the bike warm up a bit for a ride, and it's amazing how bright they are, even in the daytime.  No doubt, it will make things a bit safer.

But, you know the drill by now....

I put mine on the rack.  If someone is too close to see it, I've got other problems to worry about!  Admittedly, I have NOT moved my pak back, but the light would essentially be obscured by the followers hood more than my pak.

Here's mine now that it's done, this is without the brake light on.

Okie,
I emailed Roger the exact same question.  Here's his reply:

Got the led bar from http://www.radiantz.com/  with the running/brake light
conversion.

The Harley shop had the bulb replacements, I think those are readily
available.

I do believe it gives a lot of light.  I have them set so all three are
brake and running lights.

Hope that helps,

Roger

He added a second reply indicating Radiantz also has the bulbs here:

Here's another for the bulbs from radiantz

 Hope this answers your question.

Thanks arctic for handling that, My wife's comment when I showed her the tour pak light was , "WOW, that's bright"  just the reaction I expect from drivers.

I chose to only use the tourpac light as a Brake Light...sort of like the one required on cages.  The down side is I use the brake to cancel the Cruise Control...I hate to use it on the highway but I don't like using the throttle to cancel it.

I hear you on that, but you have to figure a quick flick of the brake when you most likely are slowing down or catching up to traffic just wakes up the numbskull that is on his/her phone behind you, talking on the cell, muching on fast food, chewing out the kids in the back seat, putting on make up or just about to doze off.

I barely have to touch my brake to disengage the cruise, imagine yours is the same.
