2010 SESG - What exhaust?
« on: July 28, 2009, 09:39:49 AM »

Just wondering..........I'm waiting on delivery for my 2010 CVO Street Glide - "Spiced Rum"....... Although I haven't heard the exhaust yet, it probably goes without saying, it will be pretty mellow........... Anyone have any suggestions on replacement?  Looking for that "deep throaty rumble" I have with my current Rinehart's.  Any chance of just putting "slip-on's on?  Just curious and open for any suggestions.  Thanks in advance  :beerchug:

My buddy Brad (Just Us Six) has the 09 SE Road Glide. He went with the Fullsac mods to his baffles. They sound great, low and rumble nice but quiet enough when cruising. Just a thought.

Thanks Black Diamond.  I did find a thread on that.  It is DEFINATELY an option.  It may get "tricky" (and expensive) swapping out the exhaust - especially as it appears the bags are "molded" around the tips.  Someone else mentioned Vance & Hines monster Ovals (a slip on I believe)?
Hey mjb765, we'll have to keep in touch about this topic!  Whatever the result, mine won't be leaving the Dealer with stock exhaust... :2vrolijk_21:

If you like the looks and performance of a 2:1, HD has a set up for the FLHX (Street Glide) and FLTRX (Road Glide Custom) it seems to be a SuperTrapp Super Meg with HD Screaming Eagle markings, I have only seen the Slip On Muffler portion of the exhaust, its called the "Nightstick" muffler and the part number is 80881-10.

With the bags formed around the pipes, you may need to stay with the 2-1-2 exhaust. JMO.

Or a 2-1 for performance with a fugazi pipe for appearance...at least the left bag will hold ice longer that way... :drink:

Yes sir, that should work. Anyone mounted Fatcats on a SERG3? I the cut out large enough for the FC muffler? Is there enough play in the bracket to make it look plumb?

Much appreciated!!!! Mine is leaving the dealer stock since I like to do all of my own work. I was looking and the V&H pipes also, but that molded bag may be an issue. They may come out with something soon since people will be looking for it. What is the ETA on your bike???

Monster Ovals are slip-ons, but they do not fit the '09 SERG or new '10 SESG bag cutouts.
