And here's the routing out of the lid with the organizer and saddlebag liner in place to protect everything:

I did them at the same time Brian.

Now this is some funny stuff, here.  I'd quoted "don" the fellow with the '03 SERK who'd replied above, and what happens?  My good buddy Don jumps in with a reply!  ;D  Now you can understand why I thought you were trying to trade my bike for DW's trailer. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Anyway, Don, I think you'd posted those photos for me before, but this time, I'm starting to understand how this could work.  How many holes do you drill in the lid, three on each side?  One for the harness and two for the mounting screws?

Yes Brian. Two holes for screws that come through from the inside and one for the harness to drop through.  If the lid organizer is already there it won't be a big deal.  You'll just drill through it's plastic back liner, start the screw from inside the netting, and let the screw help hold up the organizer as it holds down the spoiler.  Hey, we could put 'em down here when we install your radio  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

(does she know about the radio yet?)

She don't know about the radio yet, but I did get her to say, "speakers in the back would be nice." And you know, you can't have one without the other. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

"Yet," 'cause I'm still trying to get my factory POS covered under warranty before I make any moves on the new radio.

As far as XM, I'll pass on that since I already have a Sirius subscription for my car and just use the poop outta the MP3 function on the bike.
