I had the same problem. It took three trips to the dealer to fix. The float would hang at 1/4 tank. Ran out of gas on I-5 San Diego the second day I had it.

Lucky,

Which dealer figured it out?

Bill, it was fixed by San diego H-D on Kettner Blvd. I think Mrs. Red Hot also had this problem.

I also had the condensation problem. I eliminated it today by having my dealer install the following new fuel cap - gauge  kit:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448768318&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309077606&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309077606&bmUID=1133485371985&bmLocale=en_US

All I can say is - IT IS AWSOME!!! You have to see it in person to appriciate how neat a setup it is.

Naturally this was not done under warranty so I had to pay for it but I love the look and the functionality.

Now that's a kewl looking setup, think it would be standard on CVO's huh? Looks sorta like the Kuryakyn LED/Battery gauge and recessed filler set-up but will have to look at this new one in person. Since it's H-D,it's expensive?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I really like the way it works. It has several blue LED lights in the left cap that indicate fuel level. It also flashes a red LED light when it gets low (in place of the light on the speedo) It is much more noticeable. Plus when the bike is off, you can not see anything - it just looks like a chrome cap.

It was like it was broken before.  Now it pulls like a freight train [smiley=banana.gif].  I'm giving it a few miles of breakin before running hot on the dyno.  Also less drag with those flush gas caps installed [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

CVOJOE,
Do you have a part number on the Kuryakyn?  I see that this will not fit my '01 carbed fatty.
