Best price so far is from Foremost though Fernet insurance. Just under $800/yr for my SESG and a 01 FXDL for the wife.

Foremost has the best price by $40 to $50, but I stuck with Progressive for about $400/year.  I can't remember what is was specifically, but there was something lacking in the actual coverage that I didn't like with Foremost.  After working as a claims adjuster for many years, I know how to read through a policy and find flaws in the coverage.  I wish I could remember what it was.  In fact, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure if it was Foremost or Rider's Insurance that had the best price but also the lacking coverage.  Overall, I guess I wasn't any help on this at all.

Crazy, I know it has a lot to do with where you live etc etc but I would not mind paying what some of you other guys are paying!

Far better than standing in line to see a Dr in the frigid north.

Heatwave,

Be careful for what you wish for. Your new "Yes We Can" Whitehouse will push your new Health Care Plan through without even reading it like other legislation they pushed through. Oops another surprise.

Surely not what I'm wishing for. I'm on the other side of the fence on this issue. Sometimes failure is a good thing. My preference in slogans might go something like "No We Can't!"

i was paying $1400 a year with commmerce insurance in Ma. last month Progressive started offering insurance here and now i only pay $900 for the same exact coverage.

However my 16 year old daughter just got her license and our coverage went up $2200 a year extra for her.

I have Progressive on my '05 Ultra with a SE103 and $5k in add ons and my wife's '03 Heritage Softail with $5k in upgrades. We carry 100/300 liability and 100/300 in uninsured/under-insured with $250 deductibles comp/collision and pay just under a grand. I'm 57 the wife won't let me say how old she is and we live in Florida. The uninsured/under-insured is more that half of the premium. I guess we have to pay more to cover the purple hairs in the Coupe DeVilles.

costs really are relative as you all may know since location, age, record, etc. come into play... when this topic came up earlier I mentioned how Nationwide had a great deal goin' for Harley Cruisers which falls under their 'Rec. Veh.' program...suffice to say that my 20 year Statefarm policy guy couldn't touch it...I'm payin' for 2 bikes what I paid for just one bike before...after I previously mentioned this a handful of guys on the forum called and switched...good luck

Not surprising insurance premiums for the People's Republic of Massachusetts....

let me be the first to say that Ma sucks!!!!! up till this year they had their so called regulated insurance and only certain companies could carry in ma. Then they opened it to companies such as progressive and geico, you should have heard the bs lines from my old company when i called to cancel with them. My truck was at commerce and was about $1500 a year, moved to progressive and it dropped almost $500. I am 41 years old,no points, violations or accidents over the last 15 years. My vehicles are garaged in a rural area. I also have my wifes suv and my commutter car insured with progressive now. My RV is with foremost and actually went up about $50, but the coverage also has roadside assistance which my old company wouldnt offer.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned annual millage. Here in Ca we have to claim our millage as our premium is partially based on that. Right now we have an '07 flhx and an '07 flhtcuse2 based on 3K extras and 3K annual millage with somewhat minimal coverage for $950.  Last year I checked with about 5 other Co.'s and listed our extras at 5K and annual millage at 10K and got estimates around $2100 year. I didn't even try putting down the 15-18K miles we actually ride per year or the actual amount in extras. Always has me a bit worried thinking about it. We are both over 50 with clean records.
