Liquid Drano
« on: August 20, 2009, 01:52:46 PM »

For anyone looking to clean the chrome inside the end of your exhaust, I tried some Liquid Drano, and it worked like a champ. Just put a little dab on a towel and give her a wipe, and presto!...the oven is clean!

First thing that came to mind when I saw this was oven cleaner and powdercoat.... and things started tightening up. :nervous:

Might be cheaper in the long run to let the inside of the exhaust look like the inside of the exhaust. At least then people know you're riding the bike. :nixweiss:

I've never cleaned the inside of my exhaust. How long does it stay clean? I guess till you fire her up. :nixweiss:

What's all this "washing/detailing" stuff?  If it's nice enough out to clean, it's nice enough out to ride!

we have a bike show coming up here tomorrow night, and the inside of the ends is actually very visible. and I love chrome! This was the quickest way to clean it. I then used some windex to neutralize the Drano when I was done. But of course I know I'm going to hear some technical bullchit on that too! :)

they really don't stay clean all that long, but it works for a show, and helps keep the excess off.
