theirs other colors besides silver... wth...... must of been some left over paint at the harley paint shop...

:orange: yeah that leftover paint you say is the paint that was special mix for the fastest bikes! Watch closely as the O/B flys past you!  Did you see it?  I thought not! it was but a flash and it was gone!   :drink:

Those vents look great. I have a pair in the garage and I'm too chicken to cut and install on my original lowers. Do they work ok ??  Doc

they work great, you gotta be carefull cutting them in, go slow, use a dremel bit inside the line and finish up with a grinding wheel. again , go slow

I'm like Doc on these things.  I like the idea.

I do prefer the look of the bike with the lowers on.  Dry feet are always a good thing too.  But I don't have the stones to cut the originals.

Keep watching eBay for a cheap pair that are perhaps scuffed or some other way just not destroyed.  If would cut them and get them painted.  But just can't make myself do it to the original lowers...

here's the trick, if you cut then paint, you have a hole you're trying to get a pattern to flow through, I prefer to paint, then cut. everything flows, but it takes nads, biggens

...but that chrome might get me through it. They just look like they should have been there in the first place and a easy install without nuts and bolts. The guy who designed these was damn good and who am I not to finish....and they are off the bike now, the perfect time to do it. I've got to think about this today.  Doc

Be brave Doc, for both of us :huepfenlol2: !  I have itty bitty ( [] < like that) nads when it comes to cutting holes in my one set of original lowers.

Alright Klaus, you've had them on for 24 hours.  What's your verdict?

Made just one testride and i like them very much , less buffetting at the head because no wind from below , the feet are stressless on the floorboards , good improvement ,  :2vrolijk_21:

Nice job on those lowers. The paint and vents look like OE, and again you guys are inspirering me to do the deed. The guy that made those vents put a lot of time and effort into making  them fit and function perfect...and they just sit in the mancave bedroom under the bed most of the year. OK I don't have any time today but maybe next week...   Doc
