Screamin'-I had to remove the lowers and cut the Hoppe's in but not as noticable as other models.  The lowers make a kicka$$ place for aux sound, better speakers do make better sound.

Anyone have pics and price?  Are they availible in vented version? Also looking for tour pack and rear seat with speakers. Any input will help. Thanks.

I found a pair of Road Glide lowers on ebay with glove boxes for $300

Painted them black to match $120

ebay chrome vents $35

H.D. quick release hardware $100

Do you have the HD part number for the quick release hardware?

Also, Aren't RG fairings different than Ultra's?

Yes they are. Whole different set up. BTW, up until this year you couldn't get factory produced RG vented lowers. This year they introduced new attachment hardware and color matched vented lowers.

Several here have used them. Some decided they weren't worth it as the regular h/w isn't that difficult to use.

Doc, after all the nail biting on cutting the original lowers to add vents I wimped out and never mustered the courage.  Just last week got a set of soft lowers to carry in the back during warmer weather and will use the hard lowers from November to April.  You were braver than I was.

This couldn't be the same person that has given me chit about not going around my TP w/power tools to install hinges?? And to top it off the hinges are decorative and the TP is only on once/twice a year... in this case the vents are functional and are on a lot more then the TP... The things that make you go "hmmmm". ::) :P :wiseguy:
