Your OE 4.35 gm/sec injectors (the 27609-01B's) will do just fine even with the 58mm unless you build a 117 or larger.
Maaaaybe a strong 113 could use bigger.
Like many components bigger is not always better for injectors. Too big and you can have drivability and idle issues.

When planning a high end build it's not just the fuel delivery flow rating that should be considered.
IMO, spray pattern, proper electronic operation etc. should be tested on the actual injectors being used. A company like Marren makes this very cost effective.

In my 110 build, the shop working the heads (Hillside), the maker of the TW408-6 cams (Bob Woods) and the service tech assembling and dyno tuning the build (HD dealership), all recommended larger injectors to go with the 58 mm TB. Since my TB is electronic, the larger injectors (P/N 27796-08) to be installed on the engine will be the one's delivering 5.3grams/sec.

I suppose we won't know if its a good call till its all back together, dyno tuned and road tested. If it's not the right recipe, I suppose it's easy enough to swap back to the stock injectors.

If injectors are too big, peak power is seldom affected.
It's the idle and low RPM areas that may not be as good as they could be due to very low PW numbers.
Your 5.3's will be OK.

Fellow SERGees,

Reference;  SCREAMIN’ EAGLE® PRO HIGH FLOW 58MM EFI THROTTLE BODY – ELECTRONIC THROTTLE PART # 27713-08

‘09 catalog says; “Just add your stock injectors (parts book say’s 27609-01B) or the Screamin’ Eagle Pro High Flow Injector Kit P/N 27796-08 or 27797-07 (sold separately).

Stock injectors are recommended for engines making up to 100 rear wheel horsepower, Screamin’ Eagle High Flow injectors are recommended for engines creating greater than 100 rear wheel horsepower.”

‘10 catalog says; ~stock or the -08 number.

I can’t find anything on line identifying what the difference is in these two High Flow injectors.

Anybody know?

Thank you.

Stock 08 TOURING injectors flow at 4.35 gm/sec.  The book statement regarding the 100hp refers to 3.89 injectors found in 2006 and later cable bikes.
