them damn computer things ain't never right much less the fuel gauge and low warning light.. damn light comes on at 3/4 tank and gauge reads empty when the tank is half full. The dealer has replaced the pump, the sensors and the gauge and still no fix.. My gas gauge is '200 miles clocked off a full tank of gas'.. then I got about 20 miles or so to find gas - or I B pushing 600 lbs..  :'( I think my gas gauge is the most accurate.  :P As long as i remember to reset the odometer

gordy, it sounds like you went to a part changer, not a real technician.  Even if you prefer to use the odometer, the gauge needs to work properly.  I wouldn't just let it go, find a technician who actually understands how the system operates and how to do basic diagnostics, then if you are still without a properly working gauge raise hell with H-D.  The only way they will finally get this stuff right is if enough people force them to spend lots of warranty dollars.  Even the dim bulbs running the MoCo will eventually figure out it is cheaper to put good parts in during production rather than pay through the nose to replace parts multiple times under warranty.

what Greg said.  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:
laughin' with ya man. R=remaining, lo= 10 miles or less to go.
I checked this out once, when it said lo, i rode 10 more miles and filled up. put 5.7 gals in. tank will hold 6.2 gal

About a month ago, I forgot that I was riding low on gas, and when I noticed the "r lo", I didn't know how long it was even on.  Luckily, I made it to the gas station and it took a tad over 5.9 gallons.  I rode at least 10 miles with it indicating "r lo".  I hate running out of gas in traffic.  I used to do that on a regular basis on my VStar when I needed to switch to reserve and it's pretty dangerous.  With 3 ways to know how much gas you should have left on these bikes, I guess there's no excuse to get that low on gas.
