Waiting to get on a ferry to Prince Edward Island from Caribou, Nova Scotia.  No cost to get on PEI but it costs a motorcycle and rider $17.00 to get off either by ferry or the Confederation 8 mile bridge back to New Brunswick.

This ferry can haul 8 semi's, poor trucker was the ninth in line for the 1st ferry and has waited 2 hours.

Open wide-this ferry is ride on/drive off.  Bikes were loaded first.  They did not have ratchet straps but worn out pull tight straps.  Bikes did not move.

They could double stack cars on this ferry as well as the Cat.

Cow's famous ice cream on PEI..  Do not have a lot of pictures of PEI but was beautiful to me for all the agriculture on this island.  Corn, soy beans, wheat, oats, hay-thought I was back home.  First we had seen since we had left Pa..   Farm land on one side of the road and farm fields on the other side.

The 8 mile Confederation Bridge we took off PEI to New Brunswick.  Smooth as glass and no wind.  The bridge joints were rough for such a new bridge.

Hopewell Cape-Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick.  Tide's out.  Tide goes in and out 35-50 feet-the highest change in the world.

Reversing falls at  St John's, New Brunswick.  When the tide comes in, up the falls the water goes.

New Brunswick has a covered bridge too.
I was leading and rode by the covered bridge sign.  Stopped about a mile later and Yes, my wife would like to see the bridge.  She even said that a group of 6-7 bikers had turned off there.  Sure enough, they turned off there, but there was a tavern on the corner and all the bikes were parked there when we went back thru..

We went back thru Calais, Maine to the U.S..  Rode acroos Maine and spent a night in Gorham, NH..  Got up the next morning and rode up MT Washington on a private road (Auto Road).  Approximately 6500 feet, the highest point east of the Mississipi.  Clear as day until about 1,000 feet from the summit.  Looks like we better hold on.

No guard rails.  Really had no time to gawk going up or down unless stopped.  About 1/2 mile of packed dirt/gravel road about 1 mile from the top.  A cogged railroad also takes you to the top.
