FireD00d, thanks for the post.

It was a wonderful weekend.  I'm totally hooked on riding.  Not only is TC a great driver, the bike is SO comfortable.  It was certainly worth the wait.  TC is still like a kid at Christmas...it's fun to see the smile on his face and the gleam in his eye each time he looks at the bike.

Harleydiva, same as when he looks at you, I'll bet.  I apologize for being a bit forward here, but the inhabitants of this forum make me that way.  I really enjoyed reading the ride reports!

I am new to this site and the HD world, but not biking. I have been riding for the last 27 years on metrics, mostly sports bikes. I just picked up a 06 FLSTFSE2 (Autumn Haze) on June 1st. I just finished the 1K break in. The bike is still stock. I am considering my options for new pipes and the associated EFI tuning.

Unfortunately, last week while waiting at a traffic light, a woman in a minivan felt the need to rear-end my new bike. She did not hit hard and there were no injuries. But she did a nice number on the rear fender, which the dealer indicates could be up to 10 weeks for the new one with the CVO paint to arrive.

Anyways, I wanted to introduce myself, this looks like a great resource.

JimF;
Welcome to the site, you will find a wealth of info here with lots of way to spend money on your new scooter. Sorry to hear of the mishap but the most important thing is that you were not injured. Hopefully the bike is still ridable so you can get some enjoyment out it while your waiting on the new fender.

Sorry to hear about the accident...10 weeks is probably about right for the fender...the good thing is you weren't hurt in the process.

A great big CVO welcome to you Jim.  Enjoy the site, it is a wealth of information and a great place to visit. Many of us have made fast friends here, and I am sure you will too.  About the pain of awaiting new painted tins - try not to get too hung up on it, if you can.  I had a lot of problems with my bike while brand new - and it ate me up and I wasted a lot of fun time stewing about it.  Try to let it go and have as much fun as you can with that fantastic new HD CVO bike.   [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] ;D [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]  If you get a chance to ride to any of the events that we go to, jump on it.  They are a blast.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] :D ;)

JimF,
Welcome to the site. You have found one of if not the best resource for your CVO. The amount of knowledge that can be found on this site will amaze you. Don't hesitate to ask a question, share an experience, or let us know about something you have found (we are always looking for the latest and greatest addition we can make to our scooters). You will find there is a great bunch of people here willing to help you when you need some assistance. We will even go as far as helping you spend your money after we get you totally addicted to chrome. ;D When it does happen don't try to fight it, many have, but few have succeeded.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunate incident w/the lady in the mini-van. Glad that you weren't injured are able to ride still. Waiting for custom paint to arrive from the MoCo can be a long and frustrating thing. :(

Welcome aboard Jim.  Sorry to hear of the trauma with the new bike, hopefully all of our replacement parts for the SEUC bikes won't delay your fender.

I have been lurking and recently posting, so I will formally plug myself here. My name is John (otophile). I live in St. Marys , GA ( just 20 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL). I have been riding motorcycles since I was 14 (motocrossed until early 20's). Starting riding Harleys in 1991 after return from Gulf War. Started with sporty, been riding heritage classics since. Last was anniversary edition that I sold to get 2006 CUSE , black crimson and slate. I have enjoyed all the information I get here, and has already cost me lots $$$$! Just posted dyno results, and bike almost ready for pictures to post.

My Name is Brad and I have a problem...I am not truely happy unless my a** is parked on a Harley heading somewhere new!!
I ride an '04 Ultra and love it but, I just came back from my dealer.......
You guys know what comes next right??
I find out in early August if he can get me a Black/Orange CVO Ultra!! [smiley=banana.gif]

I live in Medicine Hat, Alberta...Canada that is.
3 hours ride from some of the best mountian riding I have ever seen.

I do belong to a few other forums but mostly they do not understand the whole CVO thing.

Thats all for now folks.
