Mine doesn't move but I do not leave it mounted all the time. Perhaps the nylon bushings are wearing? I'll be mounting mine for the MV trip. Just don't know if I'll be solo or two up yet.

Well Mike, I'm not thrilled by the way it rocks around back there right now. Funny you mention that Jeff. I picked up replacement solid AL mounts to replace the stock HD rubber ones. Was gonna see if that helped with the movement first. If it doesn't, the permanent rack would be next! ;)

Will do Jeff! But you know I'm a lazy bastard. Have had the replacement mounts for awhile now, but have been too lazy to change em out. I doubt I'll do it before MV! Prolly be a lil winter project for me. Gotta change my W/S mounts too. Those things are SHOT already, and I normally leave the W/S on all the time too. Them HD mounts for both the detachables and the W/S are real POS's of CHIT!!! ;)

I wish.....There is no way I would be able to get Wed and Thurs off that week. Sept is the busiest month for me.  Took this Friday off and I am heading to Ocean City for Delmarva bike week (weekend, that is) be back Sunday....just a quick trip to check it out--never been there.

Ok, I tried that number 53803-06  but it states EXCEPT for '07-'08 FLHRSE3/4......Now what? I'm confused which docking hardware to use with my 07 FLHRSE3 for the solo tour pak mounting?

I come up with the same thing....time to call the dealer and tell them what you looked up and what it says. I hate it when we have to do that :)

You know what's even more crazy, if you look at the 2007 catalog it doesn't say except 07 FLHRSE3...so if it's the exact same part number why did the change the wording in the new catalog's to rule out the CVO bikes?   
I be the dealers don't even have an answer because it's like our bikes are some rare breed they don't know how to handle sometimes...I bet I'm safe to go with the 53803-06 docking kit..

Check an 07 catalog on page 420 under solo tour pak..

I agree....but what you can do is call a dealer and let THEM look the number up for you and if---a big IF--it does not fit then at least you can bring it back without a problem.

The SERK3 uses SERK3 specific Docking Hardware. ;)

You said you had aluminum inserts for the docking hardware?? Where did you find those?
