I wouldn't, you would think that 1 gallon tank would make a big difference.......it didn't too me.

And you also have to be more careful when filling it up......it loves to pour all over the tank if your not filling it real sloooooooooow at the end.

Not worth the hassle in MHO

I agree with Dick, Have friends with them, and they have said the same about refueling.....PITA!

my wife complains about filling the 6gallon on her flhx as well, the last 1/4 has to be filled very slowly or the gas splashes back out, as the filler hole is located in the centre of the tank there is not much depth to the bottom of the tank as it bridges over the frame, if u get what i mean.

It's not worth it. I never fill my tank to the top for the same reasons stated above... It's a PITA

my wife says if u have the patience to fill it up the 09 street glide it takes her more than 450km until she needs to refuel

thats a whole lot further than my 07 se springer which has a max range of 320km, although i usually start to look for a gas station after 240km, which really erks her as she is just below half, for this reason we often ride seperately to the same destination  lol

on a days ride its like formula1 racing her with a 2 stop strategy and me with a 3stop, but we both reach the finish line about the time

LOL ...... you will finish that way every time unless she is able to squeeze off and not wipe!  :2vrolijk_21:
