USAF long time ago, wew, 77-80, jumped from high places, swam in deep places, and slammed into hard rocks. man that was fun, don't know how I did it, body still aches today from it.

OK, so now that you're an acquisition weenie and all, Sean, how you likin' it?  Miss the troops, don'tcha?  That's why I look forward to every training, DT, FT, and OT event. Completely different world, and a whole new perspective, but at least you are now in a position to make sure the Warfighter gets stuff that he can use....and that it actually works in a combat environment.  Very rewarding career path for someone who has BTDTGTTS.   :2vrolijk_21:
Have you done any DAU training yet?  There's a piece of work for ya.
If you haven't seen it, grab a copy of "The Pentagon Wars."  Yeah, OK, it is a comedy, but the materiel therein isn't far off.  Good flick.

Me, USN from Nov 1981 until Dec 2001.  Retired as a EMC (electrician mate Chief)  Was sureface and Air warefare qualified.  Two Sub tenders, one Air Craft carrier and then Distroyers.  I loved every minute of it, but chose not to put on Senior so I could retire at 20.

Wife also did her 20 for Uncle Sam's Cannoe Club.

to say that I am hating it would be an understatement...

I sold my soul for Lieutenant Colonel and now I have to live with it.

I am giving it a year here and then I am looking for any IA billet I can find to the 'Stan to get a break from the stupid universe I was sucked into here.

 :2vrolijk_21: Followed the foot steps of both may parents:  Mom was in the Army from 1951-1955, Dad was in Army from 1950 to 1970.  I broke ranks and joined the US Navy 1976 to 1982.  Aviation Ordnance, VAQ136 ECM Jammers onboard  USS Independence and USS Saratoga, then last 2 years as AO Aircrew flyin P3's chasing submarines and sea air rescues and costal patrol.  Gotta say Uncle Sam sure knows how to show us how to travel the world in the Navy.   Proud family serving our Country!    :orange:

oh, I am tracking to that...  I am having a really hard time being a cubicle monkey, my language and demeanor just are not as well appreciated here as they were at the last stop.  I am constantly having to check my mouth and apologize for my constant use of profanity.  I can make entire briefs with a profanity in every sentence and not even realize it - here I have to.  they also seem to not value my unvarnished honesty for some reason
