2003 Twin cam alternator spacer (.055) 45 amp
« on: September 23, 2009, 01:37:35 PM »

Can anyone tell me where the .055 rotor spacer goes. Inother words does the .055 spacer go on the shaft first and then the rotor or does the rotor slide onto the shaft first and then the spacer?  Thanks, The baadog

after the rotor goes on

*EDIT* The spacer is not used with the high output 45 amp rotor (should have read the title closer) The stock rotor assm uses the spacer.

Thank you, your information cleared up a lot of confusion. Believe it or not , a Harley Dealer  in Green Bay Wis. told me the spacer was necessary and is installed on the inside of the rotor. Just goes to show ya ........
