Hey Guys!
The 2010 cat comes out just like the 2009. Same problem, same cure, same results. up 10HP and 10 TQ. All these concerns with crosstalk between the sensors. Out the window. I have done stage one Sleeper kits, dynoed and V tuned a 2010 103 Limited and a 2010 96" Ultra. No codes, no tuning issues, no problems, just happy owners.

Steve,

What about the 2010 2:1 head pipe on the RoadGlide and StreetGlide? I understand the results to be different than the 2:1:2 stock head pipe.

Steve,

What about the 2010 2:1 head pipe on the RoadGlide and StreetGlide? I understand the results to be different than the 2:1:2 stock head pipe.

After seeing how much power could be had with the 2 into 1 into 2, I was very anxious to get my hands on a new 2010 2 into 1. 600.00 plus dollars later I have a brand new 2 into 1 headpipe and muffler sitting here. The big disappointment is the single exit is only 1.75". Not quite big enough to make any real power. When things slow down I'll get it on the dyno and get some base lines before I gut it and weld on a 2.0 outlet. The challenge will be modifying the stock muffler. I managed to get the core out of it in spite of the new anti tampering ring that's welded just inside the exit end. Now why would they do that? I'm pretty confident with a few tricks it will be a good performer too. Wont be long and there will plenty used ones available. Had a guy in Vegas trying to sell me one yesterday. A little patience would have saved me 500 bucks!.

OK FullSacs results prove to me that he can remove the cat and with his pipe tune it to work well. All the other majors are working on solutions and will get there too. I know Thunderheader was working in conjunction with RC Cycles in Hayward, CA and TTS, Steve Cole on solutions and have prototypes in the works.
Here is the link to the thread so you can read and form your own conclusions

We will get there as the aftermarket does every time unless they are legislated out.
In the mean time I would be careful about the changes made and be sure there is a software solution, proven to work, before diving in the deep end with the hardware.

Their is another group working on solving the "Cat" issue with the 2010 Bikes and that is a company called Fuel Moto, seen some of their findings and comments on the HD Forum www.hdforums.com. They are also working on bringing out a new 2010 Header Pipe set up.

Check it out on www.fuelmotousa.com

Another possibility.

that co. states there is cross talk between the 02's w/o the cat.
there solution is factory 02's-their tuning box and weld in wide band 02's
i have a sest so there is no need to buy another tuning computer
I'm gonna send my head pipe into fullsac for the cat gut,
as Steve stated there will be no issues.
Vance and Hines could not give me an answerer on any issues w/o the cat.
so I'll hope for the best and find out this winter.
