« on: December 10, 2005, 12:54:41 PM »

Does any know if a chopped tour pac lid will fit on a std. tour pac. My lid is off my 05 SE and the pac I can pick up is off a 04 E glide. Thanks I am a newbee to this site.

The lids for the tour paks (chopped or king) from '97 to '05 are all the same. So you'll be fine.

I had pondered doing a similar switch. The tops are the same size. Harley will sell just the bottom already painted for 450.00.I opted to by the whole king pak for my 05 so I would have the option for both. 850 is retail on the whole thing. 10 to 12 week wait

Ok, then  I could buy the bottom of the King tour pack already painted from HD and put the chopped top on it? So, you could then put a king tour pack backrest on a chopped. I wonder how that would look? Like Hell, I bet.

HMMMMM I wonder, no, she wants the king backrest too.

Is it true the 04 radio wont accept the rear speakers?

The radio kit that is part of the 04 and 05 SEEGs is sold over the counter as the Classic Amplified Radio Kit with part number 76350-04.  No rear speakers.  No option for them.  You can make the 06 radio work though.  It'll drive rear speakers  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
