Ok, so now that I have all this done, I am taking her in for the 6-speed upgrade (actually dropping off tonight 12/11, as the dealer is closed Monday's); but first I want to takle a ride TODAY, which will be the last time I have her with only 5 speeds... :-/ You know after the tranny, I'm done. I mean it, really, I am done. [smiley=banana.gif] So who wants to buy her? ::)All set up... I would then start all over again... seems like I'm not happy unless I'm building. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] I am actually getting this tranny upgrade for free! Yes you read it correctly - FREE. I have a H-D Visa card that I use in my business, and also personally; as well as the wife does also. Every dollar charged gets a point; 2,000 points gets $25.00 in what they call "chrome cash". It must be spent at ANY H-D dealership, and they are good for a couple of years B 4 you have to use them. The tranny work I did this way. I wrote up a request for bid letter, and faxed it to 6 dealerships within driving time from me. I spelled out everything I wanted, as well as take-off parts being returned. Additionally, I gave the dealer the option to schedule this work for his time availablity. I got quotes all over the place, and wound up getting the best deal with my home town dealership (House of Thunder/Morgan Hill, CA). Quotes ranged from a low (this is what I'm taking) of $2,468.50 to $3,249.99. Unbelievable. I remember that the heads I put on a while ago, costs more than a ready-to-fire small block crate engine!

Incidentially, I have a 67 El Camino w/ 383 stroker, blah, blah 4 sale up on eBay right now. If anyone knows anyone:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4595746274&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AITJust realized that I should have posted that car here B 4 eBay, oh well. Car is F-A-S-T, believe me. My middle name should have been "torque". Once again, I thank anybody who's actually read this, as I can see here that I am, once again, rambling. H-m-m-m-m so sorry to all my brothers out there in snow/cold country. It should get to 71 today, so we'll head to the coast for some Clam Chowder....
