Degree of spray out for the 27654-06 injectors ( 4,9 )
« on: September 29, 2009, 05:42:34 AM »

I just bought the 50 mm EFI screamin eagle upgrade.
With these injectors ( three holes).
I want to tune the mapping wit my super sert : are these injectors 8 or 25 degrees ?

Those are the 8 degree.  More than three holes is the 25 and the part number is 06A.  See attached.  I think I would go to the 25 degree for reasons that HD also phased them out.

Those injectors are the High Flow (4.9 gm/S).
They are for the 58mm TB Unit.
The 8 and 25 degree were for the smaller TBI units (CVO and Big Twin), and were only rated at 3.91 gm/S for their duty cycle.

Thanks fellows, but i have alreday a stage 3 map for 8 ' injectors ( 3, 91 g/s) in my map.
Is the solution just to raise up 3,91 to 4,9 in the super sert ?
Where in fact the mapping is taking the spray out into account?

Gents, keep in mind that SE has two different p/n's for 4.9 g/s flow rated injectors.
The 26754-06's and the 27797-07's.

Springer, your 27623-05A 50mm TB came with the 26754-06 injectors.
Yes, in your SEST Tuning Constants, ideally you would set 4.89 and tune from there.
I've found that tuning with the 26754-06's they seem to flow a bit less than their rated 4.89.
Easy enough to compensate in the Tuning Constants.
Your 26754-06's will be just fine with some tuning.

..."are these injectors 8 or 25 degrees ?"

I have used the 25 deg maps for the 26754-06's with good success.

That said, you are changing the breathing characteristics of your engine by adding the 50mm.
While some of the tables in your current map may be a good place to start, some tuning will be required for optimum operation.
Is your OE 46mm TB not doing the job btw?

Thanks Herko. It's a smooth prep witha 95 ci SE kit , Kompressor heads, heavy breather air filter and SE exhausts, ajustable SE pushrods.
To be consistent i bought the 50 mm SE EFI module coming with these injectors and i was surprised to see three holes on the low pressure end.So i need ti know the spray out pattern to choosse the right start map to tune above it.
