Ebbett's Pass is so beautiful, I forgot to take the camera out much.

A stop at Mosquito Lake.   Approximately 4 miles past Cape Horn, you'll come across two reflective shallow alpine lakes - Mosquito Lakes. Find a parking space among the granite boulders, bring a chair or picnic blanket, and most definitely, your camera. For anglers, this is a popular fishing site, as well. When the wind is calm, the reflection of the two rustic summer hunting cabins against the granite outcroppings, tall forest and bright blue sky creates a life memory documented on film.

The 4 takes you through Markleeville, then north on the 207 past Fredericksburg.  Then to the Kingsbury grade to Beautiful Lake Tahoe.  The Blackjack Gods were kind to me at Harrah's so I knew I could pay for the trip.  We stayed at the Best Western near the Lake on the South Shore.  Biker friendly and the best breakfast I ever had.  $90 with tax!  Sat. morning when we started the bikes and headed to Emerald Bay for a trip around the Lake, it was 28* F.

In Bager, along the 245, we stumbled into Sister's Mountain House.  Great, friendly service and casual food.

Best Burgers on the planet.......

Tom planned the trip for us.  Here he's conferencing with Mr. Twain and talking on the phone.  BTW Mark Twain was the depth that was safe for the river boats to pass.
