Well this started out as a weekend for Trudy & I to get away since we got sick on our vacation ride. Of course then we talked to JC & all of a sudden we had a meeting of the NorCal CVO in Murphys.
What a great weekend, it was nice to get over to the warm side of the mountain. When we left Reno Saturday morning it was 40 degrees, so we put on our Gerbings & FXRG gear and headed out. We were quite comfortable crusining along. Most of the Fall colors were gone, we were too late for the bright colors but the Aspens still had a lot of the deep gold color & when the sun hit them they were spectular.
Then all of a sudden Trudy said, I am getting really warm. I look at the temp gauge on the handle bar & it says 82 degrees, no wonder. So we pull off and do a complete change of clothes. Now we are in CA weather.
We roll into Murphys late (fashionable) and find JC standing in the middle of the street looking for us. We had sent him a text message from the road, however we did not know that he doesn't accept text messages so I guess that's why he was looking for us. You know arriving late get full attention to the MC you are riding. You need that when you have quiet pipes.
It was great to see everyone. We didn't do a ride, we did a town walk. Of course JC lead, that's what he does, we all know that.
See, even a staggered formation....
