And which seat do you use ? a push up one could also cause highspeed swimming because the main weight is higher . I did not have it at my bike when running the stock windshield-deflector , stock low seat , or i wasn`t able to recognize it when the bike wa new ????

OK , just returned home from Rossmeyer's Ormond Service Dept.  Turns out that as I suspected, the neck bearings were way too tight.  This caused a wobble at high speed mainly during right hard leans through curves.  Didn't seem to affect the left side quite as much.

After they correctly adjusted the tightness I took it out and immediately noticed the difference.  Spent the remainder of the day riding around and testing out the bike through high and low speed turns and no wobble.

As far as the low speed vibration (~40mph)  I know from recent experience if I fill the front tire to 40 psi it pretty much goes away... however if I let it get down to 37 ~ 38 the vibration returns. I guess as long as I choose to run with Metzelers, then this will simply be the way that it is. The shop mechanic suggested that this is a known issue with metzelers...  whether or not that's true I did find that tire pressure has a direct impact on my bike.

Glad to put this one behind me. I have to say that the folks over at Rossmeyer's really treated me well. The bike was returned back to me fixed with no scratches or scuffs (shocking) and they will most certainly get my return business in the future.  Again, gotta give a shout out to Harry for turning me on to the Ormond shop.   :bananarock:

As most of you know I had the same issue. Im glad eagleglider had his issue resolved, I guess thats encouraging  :nixweiss: May be the wobble gets progressively worse with more speed. When I ride with a certain group of friends the speeds are dramatically higher than 65-85. I guess we will see soon

I feel your frustration, some dealers just don't know. walk in and ask them for an Elite 3, you'll walk out with a 408, they won't say they don't carry it.
check the neck first, could be a bad balance too.
ride it up to TN, i'll straighten it out  :huepfenlol2:

What is an Elite 3 ??? Are you talking about a rear tire ?

I think you have 2 issues.  The wobble, could be tire pressure, balance, etc., not sure.  The fact that it won't go straight down the road is the rear tire being out of allignment.  If the bike wants to go left the rear tire is pointed right.  You need to loosen the rear axle, if the tension on the belt is okay the axle will need to move forward on the right side of the bike.  If it pulls a little, try half a turn on the adjustment bolt.  From there it's trial and error, till the bike goes straight.

I haven't heard that suggestion before...   but I'll keep that in mind next time I go in for service or have the good fortune of getting some assistance.
