As a Calif rider, this seems to me to be a perfect solution for a "future" problem.

What problem is that? :nixweiss:

JC,
I believe he was referring to keeping the original pipe with the CAT against some "Future" necessity?

Anyone get a set of the V&H HO Slips yet?  I would really like to hear them on the bike with stock headers, I'm getting the itch to place and order :orange:

JC,

Maybe referring to the following from ABATE:

Maricopa County Arizona is the only county in the United States that requires emissions testing for motorcycles!

Never have

I noticed another video you did with V&H Power Duals, and this one with Slip ons , which performs better in you opinion? IMO the Power Duals sound better and look better.  :2vrolijk_21:

I put the V&H twin slash downs on - they look and sound great.  I am going to have the bike on dyno in spring - with racing software on it.

Had an email from V&H yesterday saying they are coming out with Monster Rounds in April (4 1/2") that will sound and preform like the Monster Ovals and fill the hole on the SR street glide if it ever gets here. Have the ovals on the 08 CUSE and love them. I will wait for the Rounds.

Odd. . . .  V&H told me a month ago that the Monster Rounds are 4" and much quieter than the HO Slip-ons which are 4.5"  Copy of the V&H message: >>The Monster Rounds will be much quieter than the Hi Output slip-ons. The High Output slip ons are .5" larger in diameter. The HO will perform better on the top end whereas the Monster Rounds will perform better on the bottom end.    The heat shield diameter is the same for both. Yes, the last portion of the HO pipes is 4.5”.<<  I guess it depends on who you talk to?  :nixweiss:

I guess it does make a difference who you talk to. Will have to wait for the pipes to come out to know the real story. Here is the answer I got from them

"We are working  on a new set of mufflers the Monster Rounds http://www.vanceandhines.com/products/touring-2010-monsterrounds/monster-rounds.html.   They sound and perform just as the Monster Ovals do but, in a 4.5” round  muffler that will fit with your bags.  If you have any other questions  just let us know.

Guys, years ago I had large exhausts that came up close to the bottom of the saddle bag.  I'm from Calif. where it often gets up around 110F on a summer day. Not sure how hot these exhausts are getting now days but even on Evo's, they were to hot to have to close to the saddle bags if you carry anything in them.  I got a pretty serious burn reaching in a grabbing a hand full of wrenches.

Don't want to rain on anybody's parade......just sayin you might want to consider keeping a little space between your exhaust and the bottom of the saddlebag. :nixweiss:
