Where do I find this "derby cover".  I like this one and noone has posted a link to find it.

The part# for the blue lettered one shown is 60827-07 and lists for around $155.00   .  Don't know the part # for red lettering but is probably just a number off (60828-07??).

These are for the Screamin Eagle Clutch Cover at Chicago Harley.  Just like the 1 above this post.  I ordered mine back in the Summer.  They are not VIN protected.  Just tell them which one you want and give them the old plastic card money number and in about 2 weeks you got it.

Are there any watch-outs for swapping out the clutch (derby) cover? Or is it a straight-forward effort to simply remove the old screws and swap the covers? Can the gasket be reused or is a new one generally needed? Does the cover come with its own new gasket?

Thanks for any advice on making this swap out.

I would change the gasket, you have a 50/50 chance of ripping it and or it leaking. Spend the extra dollar two ninety eight.......   :2vrolijk_21:

The newer bikes take a red oring and you have to take the floorboard (passenger) off to get one torx out.  Get the right size torx bit, the 09's came out with an impact driver and the 10 came out like they should.   On a 09 or 10 bike, I would use over (oring), but that's just me.

I picked up a new blank Derby Cover over the weekend at the dealership. I want something custom, I really like dogs. I lost my Golden back a few months ago so I'm thinking him face and head.

Yeah, Torx screws....they SUCK!  The factory had mine so tight that the first time I removed the Derby cover that 4 screws broke using my impact screwdriver.  Had to drill and easy-out 'em.  Replaced with socket head screws and used Never-Seeze...no issues in 24K miles of primary changes (6 so far).  Also, I reused the gasket - same one as original, no leak.

The coloring on both the chain and derby covers is not standard. It is just a "candy" color, basically see through.

I like the way it came out, you can see the mill marks from the engraving and depending on the lighting the reflected color very closley matches either the light cherry (in sun) or the dark cherrry (shade)
