Not sure what your after here I'll try to answer it this way. If what your after is the Harley sound with a good looking pipe to fill the bag openings then by all means you only need the Boom Cans. They sound good and ran great on the factory pipe.  :2vrolijk_21:

I added the V&H pipes because I wanted the Cat removed to eliminate heat and I wanted to keep the factory exhaust intact in case  I needed to replace them due to a future warranty issue?

Many have sent the factory head pipe to Fullsac and had the Cat removed and it is a very viable and affordable solution to the CAT issue. Without the Cat the exhaust tone is noticeably deeper and slightly louder.

I hope this answers the question? :nixweiss:

That's it I could not figure out how to embed it?
Need to use the "You Tube" () tag located above the smiley's under the "B" bold tag. You then insert the URL location of the video... what is hidden looks like this...

Code: [Select]

Code: [Select]

I did add the center tag but it's not needed.

Yes, thanks.  I was just wondering if I can just slip on some boomcans on my new bike and be heard, or do I need to do the whole thing like you did.  I want as much sound as I can get without sounding like a West Coast Chopper, if that makes any sense.  I thought yours sounded damn good with just the slipons.  What is this heat issue you are talking about?  Heat while you are riding it?  Thanks for all your answers also, I appreciate your time as you have been there done that at this point.

Not sure if this is your first post 2007 Harley but the Motor Company added oxygen sensors and leaned out the motors to meet EPA standards.

A lean motor is a hot motor the 2007 and up engines run as much as 100 degrees hotter then the 2006 and older. In addition all the 2010's have Catalytic converters like your car and just like the car the Catalyst gets very hot. Removing the Catalyst reduces heat and then enriching the mixture back to the pre 2007 mixtures lowers the temp even more.

There are several articles on the board relating to this topic ranging from a race tuner to simpler plug n play XIEDS.

What did you pay for the boomcan slip ons?
They are 550.00 at Milwaukeebagger.com My dealer called them and got them to me for 450.00 but since then I found them on BUB.com for 400.00 you have to use their search engine and type in Boom to find them.

NO bike yet.  Harley has pushed it back until January now.  From what I can gather something about a mandatory layoff for the end of the year.  Bikeis built supposedly but will not ship until a truck is full now that HD does not do its own trucking.  Pipes I am working on with the dealer, he is trying to get them even cheaper than what you told me to pay.  As for the truck, yes it is getting ridden like rented mule.  We got just over 12" yesterday.  We have been out 5 times this week already.  But, I'll take it, helps to pay for the SESG!
