we are not long back from santa on a harley event in thun.

1.5hours 0.0°c with some light snow on the autobahn,  1/3 way there my fingers were freezing, 2/3way there i couldnt feel them any more and my feet were starting to freeze, when we got there we stopped at a gas station i took my gloves off and the pain was indescribeable, i couldnt use my fingers to unluck the gas cap, had to wait a few minutes until fingers came back to life.  I was wearing my winter bike gloves with another thin pair inside and a rubber pair over but it was still freezing.
I was already wearing a pair of ordinary socks and ski socks but went to buy another pair of ski socks to sort my feet out.

On the way home i told isi we stop half way to excercise my fingers.............fingers were really hurting when defrosting with pin n needles.........

and before you ask she was wearing more appropriate clothing on the ride there and back home again, but i think the icicles on the side boxes tell the real story

this lil Piaggio truck drives along after the santas along the high street, the watching public throw in coins and paper money as its potters slowly along, the santa`s ride a lil faster and do a quick tour or the town, by the time the Piaggio has reached the end of the high street and turned around the Santa`s are returning. We also erect the small Marquee seen behind where we sell snacks and drinks, all the money we raise is donated to the local childrens hospital.

I'm thinking that's called 'frostbite' and once you experience that, it seems that you can't deal with the lower temps as well as before.......at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.  har.  Great Christmas bike run and for a great cause, Ice.   :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: spyder

Did you try covering the front of the oil cooler?  That helps when it's really cold (or seems too anyway).  ??? spyder

i dont have a oil cooler on my dyna,   its a year2000  FXDL  low rider.   i think it was just that it was jetted and tuned for a warmer climate, it wont be a problem as the old girl goes into hybernation now till spring.
