But the only place that it's concealed is in its display case.  So, I guess not concealed at all.

woode what makes you assume it's not concealed? just because it's in the case? that is where we keep it at night next to the bed in the carrying case, never has been on display. i have a magnum research shoulder holster that i use. although you are kinda right it is only concealable when it is cold enough to wear a jacket. luckily in nebraska thats about 8 months out of the year!

Maybe I’m paranoid, but I’ll post a pic where ya’ can’t see the serial numbers…that being said, my daily carry is a SIG P 220R. Also have a SIG 220 SAS and HK USP 40.

I have one of those too, pre WWII era I think.
Mine's a 1908 DMW from the 3rd Bavarian Cavalry Regiment.  Never fired it, but looks to be in pretty good shape - has all of the original parts and serial numbers.

Love my LCP for everyday carry. I found I wasn't using my heavier guns on a daily basis. My dress pants for work don't have belts. This goes in my rear pocket whenever my keys and wallet go in my pants.

Gonna jack the thread one more time. This is a movement in Oklahoma.

To:  Oklahoma State Legislature and Governor Brad Henry

We hold that all citizens who may lawfully purchase a handgun be allowed to carry openly in public in the State of Oklahoma except for those places prohibited by law. We also call for state preemption of all handgun laws concerning open carry in Oklahoma.

1. Every individual has the right and responsibility to defend their self against unjustified threats of death or serious bodily injury.

2. The Constitution of the United States guarantees the right of individuals to keep and bear arms.

3. Criminals are not deterred by rules, regulations, and laws forbidding the possession of weapons. A man bent on mass murder will not be stopped by a rule forbidding him to have a gun.

4. It is well known that the requirement to conceal a handgun for the purpose of protecting self, friends, and family can be difficult especially in Oklahoma with our extreme heat since a person will usually have to wear a jacket to properly conceal a handgun and to avoid "printing."

5. The requirement to conceal a handgun can make it difficult to draw the weapon should the life of the carrier or the life of someone else be in danger.

6. A criminal will not open carry a weapon because he does not want to draw attention to himself. We believe that a citizen openly carrying a handgun lawfully will be a deterrent for crime.

7. Ten states including Arizona, Alaska, Idaho, Kentucky, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, Virginia, Vermont, and Wyoming all allow open carry of handguns without a license. Twelve states including Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Utah, and Tennessee allow open carry of handguns with a license. In fact, Oklahoma is one of only SIX states in the entire United States that completely bans open carry of handguns.

8. In these states, Open carry is very common and it does not alarm law enforcement or other citizens.

For the foregoing reasons, we residents of the State of Oklahoma affirm and assert that all citizens who may lawfully purchase a handgun be allowed to carry openly in public in the State of Oklahoma except for those places prohibited by law. We also call for state preemption of all handgun laws concerning open carry in Oklahoma.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

recently acquired ruger 44mag. kinda tough for concealed carry but with a low slung western holster it will keep predators aware.

Spyder, Uncle George makes the pocket holster. He only makes them for about 3-4 small 380 guns. But they are sweet.

Just picked up a small .45 for 'carry'.  Very comfortable/lightweight.  Uses a 'trench' groove instead of sights.  Not bad for accuracy as I would have thought.  Shoots sweet.  ;) har!  :drink: spyder

Cobb - man that open's up another whole can of worms (the open carry issue). Don't get me wrong, I've been carrying every single day for the past 15 years; I am as 'pro-carry' as it gets (as long as the person carrying is well trained, well vetted and well trained (I meant to put 'well trained' twice) ... 'some' law abiding citizens should just say no to carrying a gun altogether (if in doubt about that statement, just step back for a minute next time your at the range and look down the row of stalls or stations at the other people shooting ... scary!). I am a life-member of the NRA and Joe-Pro-Second-Amendment ... but I'm not settled yet on the idea of 'open carry'. I'd love to hear others views b/c I just don't have enough information to form an opinion yet.

(sorry to the OP for OT post)
