I have about 18k on mine...had the seat seam rip at the tip, oil leak twice, 3 sets of heated grips, cruise control malfunction, led lights under tank and digital dipstick replaced...and still love the bike, especially since I put Metsler tires on.
When I bought the bike I took the extended warranty and then cancelled it thinking I might trade it in shortly after the warranty expired, but frankly I love the bike especially the white frost/silver combo which gets so many compliments as other's have noted...a very classic look!
After reading all the previous posts, I am wondering if I can still get the extended warranty (mine will run out in April 2010) and if so...should I if I am planning to keep the bike long term?

I love mine as well, but I only have a little over 5k on the clock as I bought it new in November of last year and I only get to ride part of the year because of 'ole man winter.  The only problem I've had with mine is the air cleaner broke, but since I've supported the back of the cover I've had no issues.  The recall issue was taken care of before I bought the bike.

I love mine even more since I had the quick disconnect tour pac installed.  I love riding the bike without the tour pac when I by myself and the better half loves the ride when the tour pac is on.

The oil leak showed up on my Duracell at about 8200 miles; had the recall work done right after that.  No other problems.  Love the bike, but those '09s sure are fine!

Been away from the board for a while, but figured I'd chime in. I've got 26k on mine. Had oil leak that was cured by the recall and on my second set of heated grips (but think I need a third set). Outside of that I love this bike and still runs very strong. I've got Bub 7's, an SE air kit and SERT, outside of that and some cosmetic upgrades, the bike is stock.

Well, I will break the trend.  I have about 14K on mine.  Had the oil leak...new gaskets took care of that. Had the head replacement, acr, and fuel shell recall... could not tell any difference after the recall.

The bike runs ok... not really what I expected from a engine 7 c.i. bigger than my other scooter.

My problem is the engine noise... drives me absolutely crazy.  None of my other bikes had the noise, but then I never had a 110.  I don't buy the standard answer of "that noise is just normal for the 110".  As soon as they produce something better, the 08 is gone... and if they don't produce anything better in the next couple years, I may be checking my options.

I am over 27k.  Had the recall done back in Aug 09 and then there was a oil consumption issue that was baffling the techs.  I had the motor built with 10.1 pistons, 259 cams, SE Fatshotz and the heavy breather and the engine noise seems to be gone as well as the oil consumption.  LOVIN IT!!!!!! :2vrolijk_21:  111 torque and 104 hp.  See attached dyno sheet.  Probably going to take the cones out of the pipes and see how that sounds.  Heat is the issue with me.  Last year it was running over 300 degrees on the interstate and then it just stopped.  Engine build was in Feb, so it hasn't been hot here yet to see if the AFR eased the heat issue.

Just traded my 08 Kasper with 47,000 miles for a 2010 SEUC. Except for all the down time when it was young for the cylinders that was an awesome bike!! Love the new frame!!

I have just turned 16,000 on mine. Took delivery in July of 08. Heads have been off twice, then it was burning more oil than you could imagine and the bad thing about syn oil is that is does not leave a smoke trail behind you. The only way you know it's using oil is if the people behind you are complaining about the smell and there eyes burning or you check it on a very regular basis. The heated grips were replaced along with the acr and I don't think the acrs are still not working right. But what the heck, God created man and there are a bunch of us that are not right so why should I expect a manufacturer to do any better???? That was just a joke, so don't go off on me about religion. (just a joke)!!!

41k approx on the clock. All recalls performed when they came out.  Serviced every 5k in my garage with Amsoil in all the holes.  Just noticed a small leak around the oil cooler that I will have to investigate.  I may have put a rock into it or a line may have rubbed.  Other then that I really haven't had any problems.

Almost 18,000 on my 08 Duracell.  My wife and I normally average around 8 to 10 k per year travelling.  The only problem I had was that during the 2nd month I had it, while it was parked, someone in a Chevy Suburban backed over it and did $5,400 damage.  Her insurance paid and the bike has been great.

My wife and I pull a trailer behind on long vacations because she does not pack light.

I have the original pipes but did have a SERT put on to drop the Air fuel mix from 14.7 to 13.8.  It runs cool and has never overheated.

I bought my Casper Feb this year traded in my '98 FLHTCI. The first owner drove 6500Mls with it in 6-7 months (trip around Europe). After his trip he sold it to a dealer where it stood in the shop for more than a year when i bought the beauty. Have 3000 mls on it now and i'm still in love. Only thing to change on the technical part is a pair of performance mufflers and a stage 1 breatherkit, to get a more smoother operating bike. Have had no further issues with it. Only thing I notice is the noisy valvetrain, but I heard this is a common issue on the 2008 110CI's.

FYI- The leak was actually the filter gasket.  Put a new filter on and it's all good.  It was an AMSOIL filter, NOT an HD.  I still put another AMSOIL filter on it, but at those prices and reputation, I'd expect better.

Still have Silver and just turning 33K on the clock.  Had a new starter, clutch basket, and SE compensator installed (under warranty, thank God - $1200 parts).  Starts the way it should now....past had oil leak at oil cooler adapter and a bad rear cylinder ACR (may have contributed to starter woes later).  Running great now...bought extended warranty cause I can't trust it.  Still the best touring bike I've owned.

Just turned 24k.  3 sets of heated grips, 1 heated seat - lost the heat in the seat and stitching came apart. Heads, acr, gaskets etc replaced at 18k. Did not have any oil leaks or problems, just wanted to get them put on under warranty.  Put a trailer hitch on it and took an 8 day trip into PA, Finger Lakes and Lake Placid New York. Really enjoyed the trip. Bike is stock except for a few added chrome/leather pieces here and there. Love the ride, it's a keeper.  Also have an 02 White Pearl Road King - 39k on the clock. That's the solo ride and is also a keeper.  "02, "08, maybe a '14 in my future.
