I HAVE HAD SEVERAL TURBO BIKES FROM JAP 4 CYLINDERS TO V TWINS AND THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE HEAT THEY GIVE OFF, ESPECIALLY IN TRAFFIC. THAT AND THE PLUMBING CAN MAKE FOR SOME INTERESTING NIGHTMARES WITH SERVICABILITY. A COMPANY CALLED AEROCHARGER IN BUFFALO MADE A SELF CONTAINED VARIABLE VANE TURBOS (NO OIL FEED OR DRAIN) FOR HD'S THAT WORKED REALLY WELL BUT WAS MOUNTED IN FRONT OF THE LEFT ENGINE GUARD AND WAS ODD LOOKING. THEY DID THAT SO THE 1200 DEGREE HEAT CHAMBER WAS AS FAR AWAY FROM THE RIDER AS POSSIBLE. THE TURBO MANUFACTURER WENT OUT OF BUSINESS AND THEY STOPPED MAKING THE KITS. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF TURBO KIT MANUFACTURERS BUT BE AWARE THAT THEY ARE NEVER AS EASY TO INSTALL AS THEY SAY THEY ARE. YOU ALSO HAVE TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH TURBOS. BY THAT I MEAN THAT IF YOU ARE NOT TECH SAVY OR DON'T UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES WITH CYLINDER PRESSURES AND HEAT YOU CAN MAKE JUNK OUT OF A PERFECTLY GOOD ENGINE IN SHORT ORDER. PROCHARGER MAKES A CENTRIFIGAL SUPERCHARGER THAT WORKS QUITE WELL BUT DOESNT HAVE ALOT OF THE HEAT ISSUES BECAUSE IT DOES NOT USE THE EXHAUST TO DRIVE IT. ITS DRIVEN BY A BELT DRIVE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BIKE AND HAS A GREAT AUDIBLE WHINE TO IT. UNFORTUNATELY ITS A LITTLE UNGAINLY TO LOOK AT BUT NONE OF THE KITS LOOK GREAT TO ME BUT BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.
