Wow, I thought we had a bad year. Glad to hear things are turning around for you.
I agree completely with getting to 2010 as quickly as possible, in fact we considered black drapes in the house & staying home until 2010 arrives.
Our bad year totally revolved around trying to take a vacation, here it is, enjoy, it is at least good for a laugh.
We planned a short trip to Columbia, CA for our wedding anniversary, cancelled it 4 times for weather or being sick. Then they cancelled it completely on us as they were located in Columbia State Park & were forced to close by the state of CA when they closed the state park to save money. Then it went downhill from here.
We planned an August trip to Canada, Trudy's company asked her not to go, they were too busy so we cancelled all our reservations.
We planned a replacement trip in September but just to Oregon & out to the coast and back down the coast. We lost the motor in the MC, cancelled all the reservations again. The motor went out at the top of Sonora Pass on a weekend trip we were on. Tow truck back to Jamestown.
Then ... Trudy bought a MC in Las Vegas, we flew to LV the beginning of Oct, picked it up and we did (attempted) a repeat our SW Ride from 2007, planning to see things that we missed the last time. 6 days into the trip we woke up in Page AZ. both of us sick. Terrible ride home sick. We tried for a couple days to enjoy ourselves but the we cancelled most of the rest of the trip & just hit the interstate for as far as we could ride before we needed to take some medication & sleep.
2010 cannot come too soon.
