Thank you Shrader.  Here is a copy of your post there detailing the specs:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many times on this site I have seen reference to the mystery cam specs of the SE-253 cam that comes stock in 103's.

Here are the specs for the cam as posted in little known  2003 technical forum that has long since been deleted from H-D's dealer only site.

Intake    .530 lift      237 duration  open 9 BTDC close 51 ABDC
Exhaust  .530 lift     252 duration  open 62 BBDC close 17 ATDC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a link to the thread itself for any further discussion that might be there:

The latest SE Catalog lists the SE253 cam's spec's and has them as:
Intake: lift .538  Duration 240  7 BTDC  53 ABDC
Exhaust lift  .538  Duration 256  59 BBDC  17 ATDC

But it doesn't list the other specs which are in the pdf file in a couple of posts above.

Anyone here just install the S&S gear kit that converts your existing cams into gear drive cams and if so, any feed back on this route.  I understand that this method is about $400 less acquiring new cams.
