Riding yesterday nice and leisurely down Old Topanga Cyn. Rd. when I started around a curve about 25 mph and a guy coming up the hill from the other direction on a Sportster Target fixated on me and crossed into my lane. By the time I realized he was gonna cross the line we were only about 30' apart and there was no .way for me to go.
We collided at the foot pegs. Talk about an explosion of pain.
I managed to pull over to the side of the road and had to sit there for a minute to clear my head and not puke.
I looked back the way I came from and could see a cross trainer laying in the road, got turned around and rode back around the curve to find the guy stopped at the side of the road. His left foot was laying on it's side and bleeding profusely. I stopped about 10' from him and managed to put down my stand and lean the bike on it.
He was asking me if I could help him but I couldn't stand on my lrft foot.
I tried to Call 911 but kept loosing the signal, all the while trying to flag passing cars.
Finally,someone stopped and I told them we needed an ambulance. That person got the call through from where he stopped. Then a second person stopped and told them the guy on the sporty needed help, that he looked to me like he was gonna pass out and couldn't do anything with his bike so they went and helped him hold up the bike. No sooner did they get there to help him he collapsed. By then a couple of women had stopped and between the four of them they managed to get him off the bike and laying down at the side of the road.
After a short while the FD and LASO showed with the paramedics to take care of him and me it turns out.
I was prepared to ride home but the paramedic convinced me to let him look at my foot and once the boot was off there was no way it was going back on. So I rode in the front of the ambulance to the hospital.
Once they x-rayed my foot the told me I had two severely dislocated toes and my big toe was broken. They put me in surgery to pin the dislocated ones but then didn't have to as the popped back into place.
So I just got home a short while ago.

 in Santa Monica.  Very sorry to hear of this!  It's even worse after reading about your last incident.  Old Topanga is

 beautiful but very twisty and narrow.  Glad it was not worse!

Looks like someone  :engel017: was looking out for you.  We all  :vrolijk_6:  hope the doctor  :1112:  has you on the mend.  Hope you get off the couch  :smilie_staub: and are back in the saddle in no time.  We'll be watching  :computer: for your

 progress!  As for the other guy, I hope he's OK, but...    :rifle:

 Glad your OK and it was not any worse. Reading that makes you realize how lucky your are. Mend fast Southwest GTG is just around the corner.

Glad you made it through, had the misfortune one time of having another rider t bone me in the side with her bike.
Put her peg through part of my leg, sure hurt a lot.

Somebody crossing the centerline into my lane and making contact...the though of it freaks me out. I am glad to hear that you weren't hurt too severely. I hope that you heal quickly.
