Just some 2" of it fell here before it got this cold.

But the weather people tell us everything will be gone before christmas, we usually can ride to the Christmas-Market on Dec. 24 like last year. After christmas we usually have snow in the city only for some 2 or 3 weeks - but when we want to see some snow it's just a 20-min. ride away till April.

Awfull stuff, definitely

I'm with dOOD, anyone who responds to this thread that doesn't have snow and can ride today is a "chithead"..

I was in Rochester, MN last week - -14F and snowing.  Here in VA it snows at 32, melts to slush, then freezes into slick chit for the morning commute.

Here I am starting two weeks off from work and hoping I'd get a ride end before December ends..... Guess not.

DOOD I feel your pain!!!! I just got off the phone with Hogasm and his first question was. HOW MUCH SNOW DO YOU HAVE? My reply was how high is the bench seat on a picnic table? He told me 16 inches so if he is correct we have over 20 inches and it is still comming down and is expected to till 2000 hrs! I am getting on the 4 wheeler in about an hour and go riding through the mountains.

The white Chit is due to start here in southern New England at anytime now. The weather forcast is for 12 to 18"+ here on the coast. Every winter it is more tempting to head south but family holds me here. Got to go dig out the snow blower. If any one of you can send me a 5 gal. bucket of sunshine I would greatly apprecate it. kb

I had to blow the leaves out from in front of the barn doors to get the bike out!
Damn winter!
Went for a nice short ride today (150 miles) to do some testing on my oil cooler fans.
Air temps got up to about 82 in the foothills on the way back, had to stop and take off my jacket!
Oil temps are still running about 230-240 with fans off, under 230 with fans on.
I hope tomorrow will be cooler, I'll go on a longer ride and do more testing 2-up.

BTW: someone mentioned a "snowblower", what is that??? Blow snow? like up at Big Bear when they make snow to ski on??? LOL

I think you should enjoy the winter weather this close to Christmas.

Nothing you can do about it, I am right at the line of Snow and sleet....not sure whats gonna hit tonight.
We got 2 inches last night, I'll tell you............... come Monday the commute may be horrible. Watching the news this morning........160 plus accidents on the roads last night...WTF.

People in Va have no clue how to drive in the snow.....bunch of idiots. I go out to see everybody in the ditch.

That may not be very nice, but I sure get a kick out of it.


4000 accidents and disabled vehicles up the east coast HLN just stated..... Whew that's a bunch...

Get a tow rope and go make some money for Chrome!!!!!!!!

I can enjoy it just like I enjoy chrome, but I wouldn't want a bike that was totally chrome, just like I don't need two feet (or more) of snow to enjoy the winter weather this close to Christmas.

You've hit the nail on the head there. Looking at the news today there were so many cars that were stuck/disabled that weren't four wheel drive, didn't have snow tires and/or chains on.... and I'd go even further to say most of them didn't have good tires/tread on them.

Or equipped with good drivers either.  I saw a small SUV, doing 11 MPG slide into a ditch last night going down the Cary Street/Hugenot Bridge hill - they were riding the brakes.  No substitue for a brain.
