I didn't want to bump compression at all......been there, done that to many times to count.
My first priority was to get it to run as cool as possible (I ride hard, anyway.....so I need to start as cool as possible).
Second priority was/is a combination of quiet as possible (thus the decision to keep stock exhaust and use the 1.75 Fullsac baffles) coupled with a reliable (no leaks....dammit!) loaded long distance tourerer.
Third priority was/is ridable (spell that usable) power rather than peak numbers.
I think Jim achieved what I was after with the priorities that I laid out. For the record Jim did try to get me to bump the compression just a bit and I know had I gone with his suggestions the numbers would be higher on both sides. That just wasn't a goal for me this time. Gettin old.
