I just find that external cable to be a bit amaturish (if that's a real word) for a latest model CVO, is all.  And to leave you no option but to do major 'repairs' in bodywork & paint to make it look like it should have come from the factory in the 1st place is all I'm talking about.  I wouldn't put that in the category of the usual 'personalizing' or 'improvement' mods to our bikes.  JMHO.  spyder
I don't disagree... Truth be told I wouldn't have a fairing mounted GPS to begin with. As AJ stated technology is changing daily and if you keep the bike any length of time and want to change/upgrade the GPS you might  be stuck w/a hole in the fairing where the GPS mounts due to the next one not having the same dimensions and fitting there. Until we can design/order bikes the way we want them we have to replace/repair/change things to our liking.

looks like all of the wires are routed through the mount and or dash pad, then the put an audio plug in the faring and a short cable to the radio

I'm starting to think the "C" in "CVO" stands for "Cheap," not "Custom."  Like you said, all they had to do was have HK add a rear jack to 999 of their radios to clean that up. :nixweiss: :confused5:

Nope, no Honda's for me!
As much as I would like to have a Harley Davidson 2013 110th Anniversary Screamin Eagle, I struggle to find justification to support a company that doesn't support their best customers.
Their loyalty appears to be only to their stockholders, and based on how they have treated us as customers it appears they have forgotten that it's the customer that buys their product not the stockholders.

I'm not so sure about that Chip; I think MoCo management is only loyal to themselves.  The stockholders haven't done real well lately either, and their interests are tied very closely to the customers.  When the customer's finally quit grabbing their ankles and letting MoCo management stick it to them, the shareholders will go down the tubes.  Ask anyone who held a large amount of GM or Chrysler stock how they feel about how management rewarded their "loyalty".

Until the customer's and the shareholder's demand better management and better products, current management will continue to squander all that was gained in the past 15 years.  And different paint schemes on the same old bikes, or different faces on the same old cheap gauges, are not what is needed for the 21st century.

Alright Gary, where did you get that picture from? It's not one of the previously posted ones.

That came from the pictures JoMo took at the show in NYC today.

When this thread was started I put word in to my dealer that I had interest and I still do. They said they would get me information as soon as they got back fro the Dallas meeting. I just installed  the J&M CFRG-HRUC and the CFRG-ZUMO550 interface kits to my 07SEUC two weeks ago. I am sure it will still adapt to the Mid-Year 2010 but the GPS AUX plug BAD IDEA! And as previous posts quote technology changes! I was hopining it was a handle bar mount.

I like the paint on the new model, but I'd rather have all the chrome instead of the black parts.  I saw that the remote now controls the ignition lock also.  I wonder if that's something that we are able to upgrade to.  I didn't read all the posts in this thread, so maybe that's been addressed already.  The MOCO has some big cajunas.  Just last week, we all received a CVO catalog and now they sneak this in on us.  I did notice that they don't have the NAV built into the radio at all with this model, but they still jacked up the price to cover the Garmin added to it.
