Little Change of Pace in SoCal
« on: January 09, 2010, 10:24:44 PM »

Hey the weather has been beautiful here and the locals have this tradition of having a memorial boat run every January for a fellow drag boat racer who died a few years ago. Today was the day and a few folks showed up in a place called Silicon Cove which was named after the young ladies who don't have their t-shirts where they belong. I was on patrol and when asked if they could drag race in the cove, I said it didn't matter to me as long as they didn't make a wake (and I didn't run out of beer). Here is a shot of the cove at about 10:00am.  Doc

These were all jet boats, the water is too shallow here for props. The prop guys use the high speed zone in the middle of the lake.  Doc
