Or radar detectors. They'll take them plus give you a big fine to boot! Yes, the Sudbury to Parry Sound area is very nice. Just south of there, the 69 turns into the 400 - a major multilane highway they've been building for the last 30 years.

The Best Western in Sudbury is a nice place - good restaurant.  Just down the street (walking distance) is a fantastic Italian restaurant.  Take the time to tour the Nickel mine in Sudbury.  It is worth it!   :2vrolijk_21:

And there is a MOCO dealership in Sudbury if you need anything...and a larger MOCO dealership in Toronto.

Don't go thru Detroit... Go thru the Port Huron/Sarni border crossing.  Much faster and better roads...

If ypou ride into Quebec, make sure you don't leave your bikes out of sight!!!  The theft rate there is GREAT!!!!

Had a friend go to church on Sunday in Quebec, came out and their scoot was GONE!!!!

i have been riding in Canada for a number of years now, the only bad experiences i have had was having the face plate of my sony head unit stolen one night. and a parking ticket left on the bike on my first trip to Quebec.

True, so true. Friends went to Quebec, chained all their bike together at the hotel,
next morning the "newest FLHTCU" was GONE! The local police blamed it on the "Native
Canadian Indians"????????????

If you are talking to a Canadian and he is wearing hockey skates, don't make him angry.

Ya, watch your bike in Quebec. Snowmobile and truck too for that matter. As Maine borders K Beck, I hear and read plenty of stories about big items getting ripped off . There are professional crews up there that will steal and strip vehicles in no time.
Don't seem to hear these stories as much from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

For what's worth our trip around Lake Superior via Duluth, Thunder Bay, Suite St Maire, Northern MI, Northern WI, and back to Iowa. Helmets are manadatory, one of my buddies was ticketed. And its not legal to use ear buds from an mp3 player type device. There is a travel guide that you can get that highlights everything along the lake shore area. Safe Travels

Great info so far, Thanks to all that have responded. Thank you for the suggestion on lodging and other items. Will welcome any and all info!!
Anyone have any suggestions on lodging in Niagara? Would like something nice, but all I have found online is $300.00 plus per night, hoping not to have to spend quite that much.
Thanks again,,, Tom

There are 12 of us leaving Milwaukee, Wi in Aug going to Niagara Falls via Duluth, Thunder Bay, Marathon On, Sudbury On, then on to Niagrara on the Lake.
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Any suggestions for lodging, sites, must sees,,,, and MUST AVOIDS!!!
Looking forward to any and all input,

Thanks, Ride Safe and God Bless!!
Tom

Did that trip a few years ago in the other direction. You're doing it the right way.Seems all the best views for us were in the mirrors. With 12 people you're going to have to do some research & make reservations. Not a lot of places for a lot of miles North of the lakes.Stop early you want to be off the road before dark.Don't want to meet a moose up close.Like someone else said din't miss the Canadian Ballet at the Sundowner in Niagra Falls.
