Don't know if anyone else has heard this, but I was informed today...

It was announced at the Dealer Meetings in Dallas that from this point forward ALL CVO Ultras still to be produced will be shipped in the new colour - Crimson Mist Black/Dark Slate.  

Therefore if you're waiting for your Scarlet Red Pearl/Dark Slate, Riptide Blue/Titanium Dust or Burnt Amber/Hot Citrus and it hasn't been produced yet, check with your dealer to confirm you're getting what you ordered.


This make no sense to me either, but that is what I was told. Therefore, I imagine that the MoCo does NOT plan on producing any more CVO's mid-year, just a colour change.

Good looking bike for sure. But to each his own. Glad I got my Amber. I've always favored chrome over the blackout look.

That's the exact same thing my local dealer told me earlier today.  He said he wanted to confirm it with the sales rep. he was going to be meeting with next week, but sounds like there must be something to it if you heard the same thing.  He said he was glad he didn't have anyone with some other color already on order, just in case it was true.

My guess is they're struggling to move all the CVO Ultra inventory that's currently been produced. I can only say I'm glad I got my Crimson and Slate 2010 SEUC as its still the only color combination that's of interest to me. I find the all-black bike rather boring and I suspect it will look good when spit-shined and rather pitiful when dirty.... just like any other black vehicle. I'm just glad I got the crimson/slate before they discontinued it.

But that's why different tastes keep us from all owning the same color bike.

Wouldn't make me mad if no more 10 SEUltras were made in the 1st 3 colors.

Talked to my dealer yesterday. He said the black ones are numbered 1 to 999 with 740
going to be in the US. He said that every dealer was going to get ONE in black. He also
said that if you have a regular color ordered and it is coming next it will be changed to
the black limited. He said that after every dealer gets the black one you should be able
to get the regular colors again.

You may just have to wait a little longer to get a regular color bike.

Very Interesting, my Scarlet/Slate was to be a Feb production CVO, I will check with dealer in AM and let you know what I find out.

Talked with dealer today, my Feb production CUSE has been moved to March, still showing to built Scarlett/Slate.
Dealer has been told the colors will not change, they must be building the new color ahead of the orders that are already in the system.
I guess SOLD orders can wait!! Hopefully mine comes as ordered.
